I’m a little rusty on it, been a while since I’d read it.
I just know they’d all be dead if the humans didn’t help them survive the winter. I was thinking they helped with the trolls too.

The elves living in the human kingdoms like Dalaran are the ones people are wanting to play. Makes sense to me.

Yes there are. Which is why I say it is bad for game design. Sure it is good from a lore perspective. But a race that looks so similar to belves just doesn’t ring well with me. It’s like distance in game, Lorewise it literally takes like a days time to get from stormwind to Goldshire. But for game design it isn’t this way.
Classic is not comparable to high elves dude. Not nearly as popular or profitable potentially

The horde and Lordaeron are weird. Lordaeron treated everyone poorly, but the horde sure embraced them in their time of need.
You think they should remove all the High Elves models from the Alliance even if they are NPCs?

Classic needed a whole lot of work and has probably made them a whole lot of money.
High Elves wouldn’t be all that hard to add and would probably make a lot more money than the effort needed.

youre talking about 4 canon NPCs. 4 is perfectly in line with the lore that a few do exist in the alliance but are extremely rare
There aren’t private servers adding High Elves and taking players away from the main game like servers like Nost.

You guys have to accept that High elves, changed their name, and are now blood elves.
Anything that means to be a high is already on blood elves.
They have the high elf lore, the high elf ancient homeland, they have the high elf kingdom, the high elf people, the high elf characters, that now are blood elves
The high elf is their past, and the future of the high elves story is the blood elves, not the self-righteous wannabe alliance who deflect and abandon their own people to live nice and lazy in alliance lands
And Blizzard knows that.

Oh definitely, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with loving your faction. It’s only a problem when you use that as a way to deny lore and lore-nuance that is in front of everyone’s face.

They are stretching it VERY hard.
Not a “HE supporter” myself as I don’t care for elves and would much rather play as a goblin or a gnome but saying that they will not improve the game for the Alliance isn’t true at all. High Elves could very well end up with a very considerable pop increase for us. One we could honestly use.

But then we are stuck in a predicament where half the entire game is playing a fair-skinned elf. I don’t want that personally.
It would improve the game for the people who want to play them. That’s for sure.

Popularity tends to usually do that, and the High Elf request has been going since vanilla, picking up the most speed only recently with the AR system.

why increase the alliance pop since they are basically stable? even more with void elves surpassing almost all alliance races?
the only problem with imbalance is in the raiding scene and high elves will not improve that, cause is not about races but racials.
It will undermine the game lore, especially the blood elf and void elf lore.
