They never fed on fel, it was just used to power enchantments that reconstructed and defended the city while it was surrounded by undead. Getting green eyes was more like a tan from their proximity to it. They fed on manawyrms, which they demonstrate it in the trailer for BC.
If they donât want to play horde and still want to be high elves the Rendorei are right there.
Would you rather we quoted the whole thing? They can get kind of long and I donât see need to address every part of it.

that is one of the roots of the problem
people want to play horde races without playing horde, because they are lotr elf fanboys, they made up lore, they create headcanon and want to be the legoals with humans and dwarves.
But they donât realize that this is one of the things that makes warcraft different from Lotr and other frachises, the elves are friends with orcs and trolls, not humans and dwarves.
If i want to play a dwarf, i play alliance, donât ask for dwarves on horde.
If i want to play worgen, and trust me, i want it, werewolves are my favorite thing in fantasy, i play alliance, no matter if i would give a finger to play on horde, people have to stop thinking they will get everything just by screaming out loud
Void elf was the compromise, a close enough, same model different color scheme and different thematic, that is enough.
