It isn’t jumping through hoops. It is common sense.
It’s funny that you see your vocal cry for high elves as some compelling, and noble request that should be heard by devs, and yet when that request is met with opposition it must mean we’re afraid of you.
If someone is advocating in front of you for something that you disagree with, it’s only reasonable that they’d speak up. And considering that blizzard has continuously taken our side, I’d say we have very little, if anything to worry about at this point.
So many insist it will never happen but still they argue against it. I don’t get it.
you guys are attempting to create an equivalence to a tiny, tiny minority against the vast majority of their countrymen. common sense tells you its not happening and that the high elves are playable as the blood elves and the option will always be waiting for you on the horde
You seem to miss the point of what a compromise is, my dear.
I’ve never seen devs call void elves a compromise anyway, and I don’t see them as one.
And round, and round the rabbit hole she goes, where she ends up, nobody knows.
If you’ve seen otherwise give me a link. if not, it’s just opinion.
Likewise, if you had no fear it would never happen you’d not reply to any of our counter-arguements regarding the already existing playable High Elves in the game. (BE and Void. The end.)
This theory of yours is quite flawed.
Its been shown time and again in the megathreads that the crucial factor for the overwhelming majority of posters is getting fair skinned elves- all lore surrounding them is tertiary at best.
Have you actually seen any of the megathreads? Antis bring up pale skin more than anyone.
Edit: my mistake
No problem, but if you ever change your mind, let one of us know. We’re here to help.
actually many of us wanted darker skin options as well. from pale to black. but that was given to belfs instead. hehe
/bows to the appreciative belfs
you’re welcome. you’re welcome.
i’ll be here next expac to give the devs more ideas for belf customizations.
the darker skin tones was just a shield they put up to get what they really wanted. otherwise whats wrong with void elves
not i. i never flag, report or ignore other people, even if they make me mad.
I mean when Ion was asked why they added Void Elves over high elves, he was essentially explaining the compromise.
“When deciding an allied race, why did you choose Void elves when High elves seemed like so much more of an organic (and popular) choice.”
Which not only acknowledges the high elf request, but also acknowledges that the Void elves were meant to fulfill that request. Which is why he goes on to say “We wanted to be able to give something that felt a bit like a Blood Elf but had a unique flavor of its own to the Alliance.” which certainly sounds like someone justifying a compromise.
Uhm no, plenty of people want darker skin tones too.
So they HAVE gotten better.
so that explains i want half elves with african and asian options so i can have my first african and asian elves? you;re now gonna accuse me of only wanting half elves as a shield for high elves, but i dont need high elves if i have half elves.
