High Elf compromise

There are a bunch of neutral high elf npcs throughout the world. Also, that one pirate that sits around in ratchet talking about how much he loathes the alliance.

Then why not add high elf customization to them? If that argument could be true for one, it could be true for the other.

Fel crystals are demonic magic.

Woah, how’d that high elf get there? He’s not supposed to exist, Alliance don’t have high elves.

It could definitely be true if they wrote it that way to keep Blood elves visually distinct from High elves.

We still see High elves in BFA for Alliance, I’m going to guess we will still see them in the future. I’d be okay with all Silver Covenant going into Void elves if it meant ending the debate once and for all, but I doubt that will happen either.

My point is, people aren’t asking for the other factions toys. They’re asking for what they already have. It’s like if Blizzard gave Ogres with the KT human model to Horde instead of the actual ogres they have in their faction.

nightborne think night elves are savages and not only dont want to associate with them, try to kill them on a regular basis.

This isn’t compromise. This is just giving Alliance players exactly what they want.

Understand I don’t personally care or mind in the slightest if they get it…but that’s not how compromise works.

I want the honeyback harvester on horde. I unlocked it. Some people don’t want to play Alliance. Adding that mount for horde won’t hurt anyone or anything.

correct. no idea why it would bee exclusive anyway. just devs trying to calm down alliance, who are leaving a sinking ship on rafts heading away from wow instead to the horde.

Because Void Elves are stained by the void. They are not like Alleria. They played with forces they did not understand and paid the price for it.

Yeah but they weren’t slurping up demons, just powering some buildings to get the city back in working order

It’s not though. Lor’themar makes it a point to allow any child of Quel’thalas make pilgirmiage to the sunwell… except void elves and alleria.

That’s not what i’m saying. I’m saying that high elves, having no culture of their own, have been assimilating into human culture. They can’t/won’t go back home, so they have opted to mingle into human society.

No, they’re asking for a race of NPCs that they have to become playable, when they already are playable in two other forms that just aren’t to your satisfaction.

wheres our lovely naaru to cleanse us of the taint. we dont get one apparently.

Do you really want one?

And the fact that you got void elves as opposed to what you asked for should be a hint to stop asking. No means no.

It should be useable across factions. It’s silly that it’s not.

That’s not true because we know High elves are also undergoing the transformation willingly.

That’s still using demonic magic.

Making pilgrimage every now and then is different than living in a city and directly drawing from it.

That doesn’t have a big impact on whether or not they show up in future patches.

They aren’t to anyone’s satisfaction because one is on Horde and some people want to play the ones that already exist on Alliance, and the other is an actual lore atrocity. Void elves are just bad, much worse than high elves.

I mean at first. I disagree but seeing as how there is little choice now since Void Elves already took the High Elf Race Spot. I am mainly going for Customization Options for High Elf Options to Void Elves since they should have been High Elves from the very start than Blue Blood Elves.

Which is why I hope High Elf Skin Tunes goes to Void Elves along with other hair colors and tattoos of course for the Void Elves.

I have no plans of giving up.

well if we’re essentially cursed atm, and our void powers apparently arent useful to the storyline, and we’re cut off from our ancestral homeland and sunwell, i’m not sure why we got void powers other than so we could be turned blue. what else does it do for us? i cant make portals appear to pull people thru. my own portal is worse than blink. and my void heal hurts the person afterwards. i cant be a demon hunter , shaman, druid or paladin and my color pallete options are so strictly regulated, i cant even select light blue hair as a dk because belfs already have it.

Tan elves and human skinned void elves with human hair just to roll the horde. Oh i know, make them surfer dude elves with massive facial hair and awesome goatees to those little pinprick high elves. Make manly muscular and bearded Tan Velfs with surf tans, that’d be great. XD

They didn’t take a high elf race spot. There are an unlimited amount of spots.

And yet on the same page it is the High elf request that is claiming that tattoos, and eye colors should be exclusive to them, and derail any request for them on Blood elves by stating it as inflammatory, and merely an excuse to upset the High elf hopefuls. If the goal is to not step on the toes of Blood elf player themes, trying to suggest those themes are yours by right was certainly not the route to take.

The problem with trying to make High elves look different by dipping into other themes and narratives that apply to Blood elves is you’re essentially wanting to look like a Blood elf in a different outfit. If I didn’t want to look like my sister, I certainly wouldn’t go into her closet and put on an outfit she had on yesterday, simply because she wasn’t wearing it today.

It isn’t just my opinion - if it was truly the High elf theme you wanted it would not matter to you which faction they belonged to. Blood elves still practice high elven traditions, wear high elven clothes, speak High elven, and wield high elven weapons. What does it say when you want a High elf in all human clothing, living with humans, and speaking their language? Who is more entitled to the High elf theme? The player who enjoys the High elves for their personal theme, or the player who enjoys High elves for the trope they provide to their faction?

We have a say because this is the race we’ve been playing for over a decade, and if someone wants a carbon copy of our race, along with our race’s history then of course we’re going to speak up. Especially if said group is trying to actively claim that those themes belong to them over the actual High elves civilization, aka the Blood elves.

And fortunately for us the Devs take in consideration how the Blood elf players feel, just as they take into consideration how you feel, and the result was Void elves.

Remember folks. The fact people so vehemently oppose us and want our request for a playable alliance high elf race to be shut down shows that they are afraid of us. They know that our request can get through to the devs.

If they had no fear it would actually happen they would have no reason to oppose us especially not so zealously.

Oh no, now they’re transformed and can’t be regular looking again.

Okay. There’s still a high elf warlock

There is no distance factor with the sunwell. They explained this for WoD, when people were asking how the blood elves trapped beyond the portal would cope. They simply answered that their connection to the suwnell is so innate that there is no distance across time and space where they cannot draw power from it.

The pilgrimages only exist because it’s kind of like a pseudo religious thing for them, hence why it’s called a pilgrimage.

i…wasn’t arguing that point.

Well that’s not an option. Because blizzard doesn’t want to copy and paste the blood elves over to the alliance with blue eyes. There needed to be more there, which is why you got void elves instead.

This is a wierd logic hoop to jump through
