High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

Which is something for you to go argue about in a lore forum somewhere. You’re wrong, you doubled down on being wrong, and then you just “noped out”.

Who cares?
It was not there when the incident happened.
Let it go and move on.
Chronological events state, big gate was not there until taurajo was destroyed.
It should not require three people telling you that you were wrong about it.

I am always surprised when people have trouble with the concept that Blizzard is imperfect and there are inconsistencies and things that don’t make sense in the lore sometimes.

MMO format of story telling leaves so much room for error.

Just look at the mess of bfa.

-big sword and Azerite
-war of thorns, burning of teldrassil
-plague pit lordaeron
-recruiting Zandalar and Kultiras
-back to dark shore briefly
-kill rastakan
-Bam! Nazjatar and Mechagon?
-end of faction war.
-what about the big flipping sword!?
-now N’zoth!?
-what about Darkshore!?
-sword??? Anyone?
-anduins peace/surrender
-no resolution to the beginning of the story of bfa.
-sword?? wth y’all?

If you believe this then you also must believe that Theramore which members were responsible for attacking Horde territory should have been a legit military target.

The thing I really feel isn’t brought up enough is what the hell happened with the Legion. We didn’t kill them, we just killed Sargeras. There’s now an almost limitless number of demons throughout the cosmos without leadership doing god knows what.

I’m positive we’re going to see the fallout of that at some point. We’re still not really sure whether Archimonde is actually for realsies dead or not. Could easily see him coming back if they ever wanted a “return of the Legion” story.

I don’t think it’s going to be anytime soon, but I’m pretty sure we’re not done with them.

Neither he or Kil’jaedon should be dead if the lore is consistent. Demons aren’t supposed to be killed permanently unless it’s in the Twisting Nether.

So I guess yeet?

Hey, Stormwind Park was rebuilt pretty quickly. That makes no sense as well.

Yeah, KJ is fair game too, although his death in Legion was a much more narrative wrap up to his story, so I’d buy it if they decided where his ship was when he died is “close enough” and that he’s gone for good.

But he’s not a for sure thing either by the same rules.

I mean. Was anything stopping the civvies from running west instead of north?

I think we are in the twisted nether during the TOS matter.

Mmm, I think before the gate was put up it was just flat lands. Its been awhile

Presumably the Alliance army.

The bloke left a hole in the line, it wasn’t really up to the Tauren where they could get out.

I think the best point of closure is that we were able to trigger the titans and illidan into Jailing Sargeras. But nothing is really know as to the Legion’s current state of affairs, post expac.

So, the Alliance came from Mulgore?

Demons are still definitely a thing even if the Legion as a structured army has been shattered. We basically just created a power vacuum.

Whether that means someone fills it to take charge in Sargeras’ absence or if we just knocked demonkind back to it’s pre-Burning Legion chaotic status permanently (I doubt it, they were under the Legion structure for a long time and it should be easy for someone to pick up those pieces) is yet to be seen.

They SHOULD have come from the barrens since I don’t believe they had any forces from Mulgore.

Exactly, makes it weird that they ran north. Unless the Tauren didn’t let them run back to Mulgore.

Well, the boss-man left a hole in their line for them to escape through. It’s not like they could have run towards Mulgore and asked the nice Alliance men to get out of their way.

Usually when someone attacks a city they surround it for that very reason.

Guzzle covers it, but the hole in the line probably was not in the direction of Mulgore.
