High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

You realize these two things cannot coexist right?

I have to say your idea is intriguing though and they certainly can reuse assets to make it happen.

There are already four playable himan races in the game. The fifth one is incoming(forsaken ar). And they can still inevent another human race (gilnean ar)

Says the human

Oh nonononono NO! A hotdog is not a sandwich! Meat and bread =/= sandwhich!

Not everyone here agrees with High Elves as an allied race, but everyone should be able to acknowledge this!

I agree. Bread, meat, sandwich. That’s science.

Butt goblin? That sounds sexual

They look the same to me even with different proportions though. I mean, a human is a human. Even if they are a little thinner or a little fatter.

I meanm, the issue is that many high elves desire reunification, and many consider the kingdom of quel’thalas their home including both Alleria and Vereesa. The former being exiled because of the danger she poses to the sunwell, otherwise, she was welcomed back just like any one else.

It can be said the high elves are assimilating, but it can also be said some are desiring to go back to where they used to be.

I am not so sure I would, since it would mean turning everyone neutral then wouldnt it? The dissolving of the factions would be a loss of what makes WoW, WoW.

Why is this group which you claim is a part of the alliance, not at all present for alliance vs horde operations? They did literally nothing throughout BFA. They are clearly following what Dalaran leadership says. That doesn’t make them alliance.

Same reason the void elves are completely useless in the biggest Void patch ever: Blizzard has a limited attention span and can’t weave different elements nicely in the narrative, no matter how much sense they’d make.

“Clearly” as in: nowhere it’s stated or shown, it’s all in your head.

Not sure if many High Elves desire reunification. Alleria and Vereesa sill consider Quel’thalas their home, and Auric sees every Thalassian as children of Silvermoon, but that’s about all we know

It’s probably a fair assumption to make going off of what we’ve seen. We haven’t heard the personal opinion of most High Elves, we just know that they generally hate the Horde. They’re just a minor NPC faction, after all

I feel like I lost where I was going with this. Ah well, carry on

Void Elves have had their very nature AND appearance changed though. In essence they are a different race, as Night Elves are in comparison to trolls or to the rest of their ascendants/other Elven races. So no, you’re wrong.
Whether you like it or not High Elves that are ‘still around’ are in fact Blood Elves – As for ‘hard’ proof: Blizzard Confirmed this, and later when it was brought up in a Q&A panel Ion Hazzikostas confirmed and outright stated it too.

I understand the discern of what is wanted, and what you’ve proposed is a rather mature & reasonable statement - However, given the two races are literally the same despite how they may identify or politically stand: Having the race made neutral would be essentially the most effective, the way this could be portrayed is when selected on the Alliance side - Merely have them associated with a different background & potential starting zone and leader.

Possibility? —
Given the direction of the game and the animosity in the factions, I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if Alleria (And confirmed Vereesa sometimes, though she believes it a doomed cause) had their desire come true of having the Silver Covenant & Quel’Thalas unite under a treaty – but free to choose their own path (Make Silvermoon a Neutral City for the greater good of Azeroth).
After doing this, obviously give customisation options to show blue eyes, tattoos etc but altogether this is ultimately the only way I see Blizzard making the race allowable for the Alliance.

Void elves are present in BFA.
The silver covenant isn’t. Your answer does not fly.

Yeah
even though they live in Dalaran, which is lead by Khadgar, who stated Dalaran is neutral.
These alliance members simply chose not to participate in the matter of BFA at all.
Clearly they’re alliance members when they are not doing anything for the alliance..
You should read the things you write out loud, they sound silly.

Factions aren’t being removed.

Best chance for helfers is that belves get their blue eyed faces, and relaxed PVE restrictions allows you to play with the opposite faction

The Silver Covenant appeared as shield mages in the 7th Legion, for what it’s worth. It was only two High Elves though

I never stated for or if Factions to be removed. Merely stated in regards to the direction they’re going, say if they’re to become a bit more fluid / negotiable and allow a singular (Or 2 to make it ‘even’) race within each factions to become Neutral along with its prime capital city, under an agreement for the betterment of Azeroth and to combat the dire forces that assault their world, along with having more allowable custom options for them. I could easily see the Exodar / Draenie & Silvermoon / Blood Elves becoming neutral should they apply the right direction & lore.

That’s not what he said though, he said the Silver Covenant didn’t appear. Not that members of the Silver Covenant didn’t appear. That’s actually an important distinction.

Also shield mages? You mean priests?

They want all the blood elves to go back to the Alliance. It’s the blood elves’ allegiance to the Horde that keeps the high elves from going home.

They’re political exiles. Like Taiwan and China
