High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

This statement…

…makes no sense whatsoever, because a Void Elf can be easily mistaken as a Blood Elf depending on the gear they’re wearing.

Void Elves use the same model with different skin colors, and High Elves with a new model and a fairly close skin color would be the same thing but in reverse.

Blood Elves has A and B, Void Elves has B but not A, and High Elves has A but not B.

And an orc and a draenei look very similar in full plate.

It’s almost as if differences aren’t as obvious when you literally can’t see any of the character’s skin.

I explained it few posts ago:

if you cant tell the difference, then congratulations youve solved your playable alliance high elf problem

Well, a High Elf with a different model will not be mistaken regardless of the gear they’re wearing.

Otherwise, Nightborne as a race would not have been possible to make since without their models they’re just Highborne Night Elves.

Well since we care if one race looks like another if you can’t see any of the character, you know what else? A high elf in a dark room looks identical to a tauren in a dark room.

Gear only covers the body, it does not change it in any way, most parts are just body texture, so…

Woah, woah, woah. This is absolutely rediculous. Void Elves can’t be mistaken depending on what armor there wearing. There the only race on Alliance that can’t be targetted and killed by the Alliance.

why do you guys keep brining this up? nightborne are as different from night elves as void elves are as different from blood/high elves. differences of skin tone, some cosmetic alterations such as tattoos/tentacles and utterly different themes

the fact remains that if they were ok with granting blood/high elf aesthetics to the alliance, they would have given the alliance ‘high’ elves and not void elvest. tbh asking for a different model will prob result in another monkeys paw like pygmy light skinned elves(theoretically speaking if they did add another elf race)

I like our chances. They said they would listen to feedback for future ARs, and this is highly requested.

They also said this xpac wasn’t just a repeat of Garrosh.

It’s not. Sylvanas is worse, and now it looks like they’ll be wanting to villainize Tyrande for wanting the banshee to pay for her crimes.

Because they have a different model compared to Night Elves, yet having a fairly close skin color scheme. High Elves can follow the same pattern.

So, as long the race is in a different faction and has a red nameplate it can’t be mistaken with another race. That’s nice.

That should mean high elves will be no problem even if they keep the thalassian model.

Garrosh started out with wanting what he considered to be fair for his people. So did Sylvanas. But no, I’m sure with Tyrande it’ll be different.

Sylvanas hasn’t cared about her people in a while.

No, but that’s not how it starts. It starts with them seemingly doing right by their people against an unjust enemy.

i disagree. with development having attempted to compromise once already, the chances of them doing so again are practically nil as they themselves stated that if you want to be a high elf the horde is there for you. the final slots will be going to something new not something identical to a blood elf in theme and looks

lets be real, between playable void elves and playable blood elves there is no space for playable alliance ‘high’ elves

How so? This expac started with her starting a war and committing a horrifying act for no real reason. Now we’ve found out she started the war to feed souls to some entity.

None of these things have been beneficial to her people, no matter which group you would consider is her people.

There was also the whole murdering her people for realizing that their living family members wouldn’t necessarily reject them. She’s been on a crusade against hope.

She maybe cared about her people when she was alive, but she’s never truly cared for the forsaken, she was repulsed by them but was willing to use them as her tools. She forced the blood elves into aiding her in Northrend by threatening to withdraw support and letting them all just die, so that’s how much she cared about them. Her vendetta against Arthas was more important than their survival.

So please tell me how she cared at all about either group that could qualify as her people, much less the horde as a whole.

That space is exactly what this community is trying to show and trying to expand from.

But you’re probably right…

I keep hoping that it’s not the case, but after fat people and people with prosthetic limbs… it’s hard to keep my hopes up…

But I’m sure Horde we’ll get something amazing, maybe it’ll be the next race for this mage.
