There are no trolls in this thread, only elves.
The problem is that IF it was a compromise, they failed miserably beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Because if so, they misunderstood what was being asked, and instead of giving the alliance the group of elves they wanted -however modified- they made a totally unrelated group of Blood Elves.
If itâs is a compromise, itâs simply absurd to think HE people would be satisfied even a little. Sure blue high elves would have been controversial within the HE people, but it would have been a completely different issue.
Showing hypocrisy is not âtrying to cause troubleâ.
You have people here denying a player request and hiding behind âblue eye customization for Blood Elvesâ among a multitude of other âpersonalâ reasons
All in all, thatâs downright spite.
Not that you should take issue with being called Greedy if you yourself are not part of that group.
My answer is that the probably wonât add the eye glow on models that could serve for both time periods/groupsâŚ
Itâs like asking me what Iâm gonna do if the moon falls on my head, it could happen, but itâs very unlikely to consider.
Like playable High Elves!
what high elves were they going to use? the SC are mostly ranger types with a few mages. were they going to use the 2 in sw? no, they used blood elves(which are high elves) because alliance high elves are too few and the SC make no sense
and as you continue to prove by asking for void elves to be de voided, IT IS all about skin tones not lore
the lack of a normal skin tone is not an oversight. it is a deliberate choice to reinforce the nature of the void elf transformation and to provide a measure of distance with the blood elves
I donât believe it was a compromise. Not truly. Because if you work at Blizzard you would have to know the basics at least of what people have been asking for 9 years.
So there are two possibilities.
-
The lead devs, and the designers and the artists all worked to make Void Elves, ignorant that Alliance players wanted High Elves in some form. And no one brought it up at any point.
-
The lead devs wanted to snub Alliance players for wanting High Elves that were never exposed to Fel energies because then they wouldnât be the only faction with Elf Paladins, and thats not fair.
Weâve already seen it being added to Spell Breakers, it only makes sense to think the other units are getting eye glow.
Some Alliance players.
Elves are just mutated Trolls.
Wrong. I am way too fabulous to come from a Troll.
So do Alliance High Elves
Ah, the whole âBut who are the real high elves?â nonsense.
Answer: Neither.
I bet you can see a lot of things, but betting on so many eye colors when they canât even unlock eye color from the face itâs a bit wishful thinking. Like Alliance High Elves.
Hey, the Horde doesnât have an Elf Druid.
I think it was a matter of laziness, they did not want to put in the effort to try and differentiate our Alliance High Elves from Blood Elves, if they really cared to differentiate them at all.
So they just spray painted a group of Blood Elves purple and called it a day.
Just goes to show they care more about not giving Hordies a stomach ache rather than give the Alliance something theyâve actually wanted.
Sure thing. Good luck with your new house!
I say add half elves.
Not a clone.
Adds to the lore.
All round the best option
You have to accept your ancestry.
And uâre wearing red, red isnât fabulous, such a peasant color.
pretty much
if they wanted void elves to have normal skin tones they wouldnt have bothered to invent void elves in the first place. there is going to be no loophole where development will allow void elves to have normal skin tones in addition to their own unique and distinctive tones
and why? because everyone knows 99% of all void elves would go straight to the barber shop and change up, obliterating the races distinctiveness from the blood elves
Excuse Me!?
Its even more laughable that theres a cryptic tweet about a random NPC and you read into it like theres no tomorrow, drinking it up like you just escaped the desert, making all sorts of assumptions but anything that questions it is a tall tale, but clearly unsaid messages about void elves that players make up are the end of the line and just a simple fact.
Its good stuff really. /popcorn
So will danuser please step up and explain about the High Elf ballistas that randomly appeared outside of org during the war campaign? High Elf NPCs that keep popping up after 15 years when theyre all but dead apparently? I mean since we get to hear about repair dude we all have questions that could use some answers.
Though as an Alliance player Iâd rather have a monster race first with the few race slots we will be getting, as a Horde player I find this acceptable - so long as they resemble humans and arenât just a Blood Elf copy paste.
