This is truth.
Cool. So they remained the same race.
its also expressed in a moment stuck in time. things obviously changed when the events of TBC were resolved at the end of the expansion. all we know is their thoughts when we first arrive there. tbf, it has been their home for years because they were stranded there. all we know is auric, the leader of the few elves there still alive, left and is now residing in quelâdanas as a high representative
Iâve always been of the the mind that the High elves of Allerian Stronghold now reside at the Sunwell with their leader Auric Sunchaser. Otherwise why didnât they show up with Alleria during the battle for Undercity? Newly recruited void elves were more willing to fight their former allies than a group of High elves that were supposedly part of her forces?
If Auricâs position on blood elves, and the sunwell is shared they may very well not be willing to fight the blood elves and endanger their relationship allowing them access to their most sacred site.
This is just an opinion of mine on the direction I see them going
But does not prove that all of the other elves from Allerian SH have vacated suddenly.
If they stated that they had moved on from there and join the ranks of the 7th legion or something of that nature then thats fine, but they havent. Even if they did, then that population of elves would have been displaced and still existent.
once the portal to isle of quelâdanas opened they wouldnt need the dark portal. are the devs saying once weâre in diff expac, shattrath no longer has alliance left there? did they abandon shattrath?
So far, I havenât seen it stated that they have moved back. Perhaps they did move back to Azeroth, maybe some stayed in Terokkar Forest, but itâs only up for speculation at the moment. Since it is apparently easy to come and go between Outland and Azeroth, itâs not hard to imagine that they still live in Outland and come to Azeroth for whatever reason. As a representative, Auric has to make trips to Quelâthalas and the Sunwell. Itâs all for the matter of peace and connection. Still very much for the Alliance. Like Varian Wrynn, trying to make peace and ally the Blood Elves with the Alliance again, which Lorâthemar was quite tempted to do.
shat belongs to the refugees of outland. we just use it as a staging ground against the legion. theres no reason to maintain a presence there anymore
we are talking about a few handful of elves that managed to make it to this point. the majority of the survivors there are humans
Like the Scryers in Shattrath.
Point is that they are still there.
Wow is a microcosm of what the wowverse is⊠populations are not represented by the npcs in game or by player avatars.
There was an entire fleet of High Elves that migrated to Kalimdore with Jaina.
Also, there were even High Elves fighting for KulâTiras for Admiral Proudmore:
The High Elves, when looking at past Warcraft games became heavily integrated and assimilated with all of the human kingdoms, six years after the first war between man and orc.
Oh yeah. Isnât there a section in the Dustwallow Marsh where there are High Elves? I should fly around there, do the quests and check if there is. I heard from a friend there is, but didnât actually check for myself. But if so, then perhaps there are some groups from that fleet, most stayed in Dustwallow, but some went out into Kalimdor.
Yes there was, I remember those ugly pre-TBC High Elf models very vividly there. Not sure if that encampment still exist after Cataclysm.
The encampment and the high elves still exist in-game, but the lore is uncertain about how many survived Theramore and where they went after its destruction.
except when it comes to actual alliance high elves. and we know this because the devs tell us this when they say there are no more alliance high elf hubs left. they say this knowing about allerian stronghold, highvale, and dalaran. they say this after putting 3 actual alliance high elves into the 7th legion. as horde we kill all of the alliance races in 7th legion uniforms. yet alliance high elves are not among the endless waves, only 3 unique npcs and only one of those we even get to fight and kill on an island expedition team. its almost like when the devs say there are only a few individual alliance high elves left they mean it
So itâs another unspecified piece of lore that could go in our favor, or against it. It depends on what Blizzard wants to push.
You can say that again.
Because in Warcraft III, Dwarves and High Elves were in the KulâTiran ranks. Thrall, Carine and Jaina didnât run in there and start a genocide, they just killed Admiral Proudmore.
So why there are only Humans in KulâTiras for BfA is beyond me. But itâs safe to assume they didnât just die off.
You have no evidence of this⊠you are arguing for the sake of agruing⊠there is definitely more than the arbitrary numbers you speak of.
Does not disqualify it from being and allied race.
Thats how it always is. The sams stuff over and over and over again. I cant figure out why though.
these are comments from the devs on the subject of playable alliance high elves over the last 2 years. the only comment that is acknowledged by the pro side is âno plans for nowâ which is nothing but a platitude
