I said it earlier, I am fine with them. It would be a good idea IMO.
To add onto this, there are half elves from night elves.
So if you make half elf a playable race, you could have a LOT of customization options to say what kind of half elf they are.

Half-Elves are literally nothing, some children of some strange couples, it’s in the lore we have been getting. If there were more, we would know!
