If they had a “starting zone” i wouldnt want it to be like a normal one. Maybe some intro quest where you fight with the SC in some location already existing or something like that for a few levels to get you going. I still think High Elves wont be a core race.
I would love for them to use quel’danil. Maybe release Wildhammer and High elves at the same time with their scenarios both being in the hinterlands.

I don’t think they will be a core race either. An allied race, something with some hurdles to jump over to get is fine. It would be more a reward and add some more novelty and rarity to get them.

Obviously Silver Covenant rep since they are the majority of High Elves. Probably have to have 7th legion reveared as well. Things like that.

It will require Exalted with the “Thalassian Reclamation” reputation and completion of the “Battle for Quel’thalas” storyline in the 8.3 Patch: Fall of the Sunwell.

It will be a huge storyline with lots of quests plus World Quests on revamped Ghostlands (Alliance will make its base on Deatholme) and Eversong Woods.
That would make sense. Who knows maybe the void will launch an attack at the sunwell? Is that what you are thinking?
Well theres an idea that touches on that area. What if High Elves are granted a home near Quel’thalas but not in it. Like in Ghostlands or Southern Eversong Woods. It would mean an updated start zone for that area. Maybe have Quel’dorei and Sin’dorei do the same quest but they go to different places after the start zone.
Two birds with one stone. Updated Blood Elf start area and a start area for High Elves.
Please leave the Sunwell alone. It being destroyed once was enough.

Unless the High elves are there to help defend it against the void, and use it as a sort of hub.

I wonder if they are ever going to do anything about the area to the west of quelthalas and north of WPL? Northeron I believe someone called it?
Maybe thats a way they can make High Elves have a larger population.
Strong head cannon here, but maybe theres a large High Elf lodge there and a group of citizens from Quel’thalas went there during third war. Theyve been using magic to mask their presence since then afraid of more undead attacks. They then go deep into their woodland living and become sort of “wood elves”. They get the wild hairdos and tattoos that people have been suggesting while in there.

That’s definitely a possibility, blizz is good at hiding populations in new zones.
Also people have suggested that the Dragon Isles could have a population of high elves as well.

Ooo and if it is large enough, that could be the new Alliance city hub since darnassus is gone. Wrong continent but it could definitely fill that hole.
That would be nice, who knows if they include the dragon isles this expac or next. I can see 4 major patches this expac.
darnassuss is not gone, the night elves just need to reclaim it. the high elves rebuilt silvermoon after all
