I feel like if something like if there is any type of lodge or hub near Quel’thalas they wouldn’t want night elves or the Alliance at large residing there. High elves sure but any other race would likely be routed out, especially after all the spying and sabotaging the night elves were doing in the ghostlands.

Theyre not fighting for Teldrassil, Theyre fighting for Darkshore. Darkshore is salvageable, Teldrassil isnt.

Darnassus was a city on the tree of Teldrassil. Teldrassil was burned to a husk. Darkshore has been reclaimed, but there’s no getting Darnassus back, it was in the upper boughs of the tree.

Anyone else who was NOT a blood knight would not attune to M’uru to gain the power of light. This means all blood elf rangers, warriors, mages, warlocks, etc would never have attuned. Therefore, they would be in the same exact spot as the high elves you claim are different from blood elves.

The essence of M’uru was consumed, and it was used to re-ignite the sunwell, and as th ehigh elves are the same bio race as blood elves, they are affected by it the same way as blood elves. Thisis also why NEW blood knights can still draw their power of light using the sunwell without requiring attunement.

In terms of a core race, that would be more difficult to justify and implement. Where would their starting zone and capital city be?

I vote half elf.
High Elves are just blood elves with blue eyes and no amount of paint will change that.
But half elves would open up logical stories for them and be the next step in their evolution and upset nobody.

If they were a core race yeah…i dont think that would happen though. I see them being an AR and using places like High Vale as a starting place more.

If a more human model with pointed ears and glowy blue eyes upset anti high elf players then thats just sad.
They are not the same race any more and no claims can be made to them.
Would you be ok with High Elves using the Human skeletal structure? It seems like your issue is High Elves using the same structure as Blood Elves.
the argument against this is that they’re the same race so they should be identical but it would infringe of belfness if helves used the belf skeleton, and enjoy your velves.
