You want to play Blood Elves that think they’re better than their kin, but aren’t different at all.
High Elves are a throwaway faction.

Right Blood Elves are playable. High Elves that stayed with the Alliance even before the third war are not. Thats what we want playable.
These Elves rejected Kael’thas renaming their people. Youre not a Blood Elf if you didnt accept that change. Even Lor’themar recognizes the other Thalassians as Quel’dorei still. If the leader of the Blood Elves recognizes them as a separate entity of his racial kin, then so can everyone.
Lor’themar is awesome like that.
For the class combos that fit the race (assuming I have the money to sink into it) almost all of my characters will be race changed to High Elves.
If the shoe fits…
Haha Id probably change a few myself. Hunter, Rogue and if they make them Paladins id do that too.
If the leader of the Blood Elves recognizes them as a separate entity of his racial kin, then so can everyone.
Word of Ion > Word of Lor’themar acknowledging that the Quel’Dorei are just loner Blood Elves
Right Blood Elves are playable.
how can you expect this request to be taken seriously when you dont even accept the lore and dev comments on the subject
Read about the Blood Elf race in World of Warcraft. Learn about their history, abilities, available classes and more.
For nearly 7,000 years, high elven society centered on the sacred Sunwell, a magical fount that was created using a vial of pure arcane energy from the first Well of Eternity. Nourished and strengthened by the Sunwell’s potent energies, the high elves’ enchanted kingdom of Quel’Thalas prospered within the verdant forests north of Lordaeron.
thats from the official site telling you high elves are blood elves now. when you create a new blood elf character it tell you these are THE high elves that discovered quel’thalas and the sunwell. high elves are already playable. alliance high elves are not because they are a tiny faction of high elf traitors. they are not the high elf story or its future. get real
you might as well make playable horde humans because defias betray their own race
Not even the word of one developer can out weigh written lore. Remember red shirt guy correcting Falstads situation? Developers can be wrong.
Word of Ion > Word of Lor’themar
As a warlock player who got told alongside all other warlocks to not play Demo and had it nerfed into oblivion…
We don’t really care for Ion’s opinion
Oh look, one of the sacred pillars of the Anti.
Ignoring literal lore in front of your face for the word of a developer not in charge of Lore.
This hole your digging is deeper than N’zoth’s.

Falstad got mistaken for someone else. The High Elves are Blood Elves, no matter how much you try to rationalize otherwise.
As a warlock player who got told alongside all other warlocks to not play Demo and had it nerfed into oblivion…
Are you surprised that EP got nerfed? No other class was.

Yeah, like you aren’t ignoring all the lore that High Elves are already playable on the Horde. Just play Horde if you want your dumpy elves.
The best treatment? Wow.
Right. A large portion of High Elves followed their prince and took on the name Sin’dorei forever changing themselves from the High Elves to the Blood Elves. I acknowledge this. Every person who is for High Elves being playable acknowledges this.
Not every High Elf is a Blood Elf though. Theres plenty that were not inside Quel’thalas when it fell. Were every Night Elf inside Teldrassil when it was destroyed? We done question the Night Elf population after that. This chunk of High Elves stood with their friends in the Alliance and did not take on the name Blood Elf.
Also im down for horde having humans soooooo ¯_(ツ)_/¯
2 extra mounts.
3 extra max-level storylines.
3 full CGI cinematics about their faction story.
This is the first expansion since vanilla that had so much more content for one faction over the other.
delusional, casual, sociopathic, paranoid and so on as well.
k lets dig in
delusional - what have i said that was delusional?
casual - well it isnt like a person with a lame hand is going to be doing m+ hehe
sociopathic - why? i agree belfs should have access to blue eyes and am willing to swap a signature velf hair style for a signature belf hair style. i think that’s pretty friendly, to be honest, considering some dont want helfers to have anything at all… not the tats, not the eye color, not the skin color … some even say helfs should be genocided or turned into blue tentacle people too, so they dont have to see the thread title on their computer screen.
paranoid - this i admit to. hehe
Yeah, like you aren’t ignoring all the lore that High Elves are already playable on the Horde. Just play Horde if you want your dumpy elves.
I’m gonna let you in on a little secret.
There’s 2 different types of Elves based on political differences.
I know. Shocking. Multiple ways to view lore? In my WoW?
I will faction change some of my belves, but not all. I probably won’t race change many alliance toons aside from those that I don’t care for anymore as their current races.
Are you surprised that EP got nerfed? No other class was.
It got nerfed to uselessness. Not ‘Tone down to every class level’, it was ‘utterly broken at the kneecaps and we were told they didn’t want us playing the spec’
High Elves are already playable on the Horde
If “Has been locked up in a magic bubble for the past few centuries” characters point out that those are not High Elves, then they’re not. Blood Elves are no longer High Elves and haven’t been since TFT.
The High Elves who’ve fought alongside the Alliance ever since Vanilla remain unplayable. All we have are a bunch of void-touched traitors no one asked for. And thus, these thread will continue.
Not even the word of one developer can out weigh written lore. Remember red shirt guy correcting Falstads situation? Developers can be wrong.
To be fair it’s not just one developer, Ion is merely the mouth piece for the decisions made by the dev team. Whenever speaking on these kinds of topics he very deliberately says things like “That’s how we feel about it” or that’s “Our stance on this.” It’s easy to make him the target, but not also not very fair either.
