It seems like a weird thing to limit, honestly.

what of this?

“they use to be high elves and high elves were part of the alliance. if you played warcraft 3, your sorcerors and priests were high elves. so its interesting to see them on the other faction.”

clearly they werent on the horde by the end of warcraft 3. some went to outlands and of those, some became fel elves, some stuck with kael’thas, some stayed with the alliance and some went with lor’themar. what you want to do is just retcon the high elves who stayed with the alliance, completely out of the game.

i personally dont mind if you get blue eyes option. tats i’m a bit more concerned about since belves seemed to have left the tat thing behind when they became belves, leaving only the alliance high elves following the tradition of tattooing.

yea and if you finish wc3 you learn the fate of the high elves

for gameplay reasons that doesnt mean you cant keep making a high elf sorceror as alliance. if wc4 was made right now you wouldnt have that option anymore as alliance

Agreed!
No really, I agree!
that is why it is so important that High Elves be VERY carefully thought out!
Remember how Kael changed so many things, besides the name? I can easily see the newcomers to the Alliance, these High Elves doing the same thing!
Styles, colorings, whatever!
I say lets encourage these devs to really let go the creative juices!
F’intance

(Stop! I know that look! The last time you got that berserker gleam was
)
Silence, you! Just type!
and it’s ‘berserkr’; spell it right!
Where was I? Ah yes

Who says they have to be ‘good’ Elves?
It is about time for the Alliance to
ah
‘liven up’, so to speak and I’m getting tired of carrying the load.
Maybe Dark Tyrande reaches out to us.
Them.
Maybe

why not? the high elves who stayed on the alliance, didn’t get retconned out. you just want them to be

Eredar/man’ari would be so cool for the horde.

because now you have draenei and worgen to play with and silvermoon is fully aligned with horde now. its the same gameplay reason as in WoW

the male goat animations are so good i wish i could have a warlock. obv the alliance ones will never be warlock/rogue but there’s hope for horde ones.

is there a w4? if not, how do you know they would not let us keep playing our high elf sorcerors and priests on alliance? they didnt all follow kael’thas to outlands. and when they do go to outlands, they go with the alliance.

i believe the word you’re looking for is “headcanon” because apparently what blizz themselves say doesn’t matter to some people. :stuck_out_tongue:

It really isn’t, especially when the line “They are the High elves!” is used in this context during a conversation. As if the same name is somehow evidence that they have exclusive claim to all of Blood Elf themes. It’s why almost every Blood Elf customization thread is derailed into a High Elf debate.

Because if the whole argument on why they should be playable is how different they are, you can’t then turn around and say “But they should still get all the stuff that makes them similar to Blood elves too, cuz, ya know, their name.”

They keep everything because their entire purpose was to fulfill the High elf fantasy in WoW, it’s really hard to believe that you can’t see why people have a problem with a Helf cause that actively tries to deny them a theme central to the very reason they exist in the first place.

If your entire intention is to make High Elves look different from Blood Elves don’t deliberately choose to pursue themes that are traditional to them? Rommath himself is literally covered in tattoos and one of the most common artistic iterations of blood elves present a male Blood Elf with a tattoo over his eye. It seems more like you’re trying to claim themes that you also claim they’ve moved on from, which is a real example of wanting to have your cake and eat it too.

at the begining of wc3 they are still apart of the alliance of lordaeron

the same reason they dont want to give playable alliance high elves to alliance in WoW

thats because they have an agenda. playable alliance high elves. if they accept what the devs and lore say this AR request makes no sense. dont forget ive seen people in this thread claim blood elves are not high elves they are a different race
