Honestly the Heritage armor was enough for me to power through the slog that questing is now.
Not to make up for the hairstyles I loath the most in game. All look like they just got out of the shower, the glowy Void bits don’t even make up for it, thank god for helmets.
i honestly wouldnt even be here if they were just asking for playable alliance high elves because a few individual alliance high elves exist. but to claim that because a couple portal keepers are in SW and you have 3 alliance high elves actually fighting for the alliance in the faction war they are the true high elves despite what the lore and devs have said is laughable. i just have to point it out 
They can make more Velves! Sure they can! They just need to dip more Elves into Void pools! Or utilize magical cloning!

I would be more sympathetic to this point if the implication that High Elves deserve NOTHING of their OWN heritage wasn’t that strong.
Blood Elves get to keep almost EVERYTING, the historical territory, the mounts, the Sunwell, but lord forbid that people say that High Elves could get tattos because a) Alleria, an alliance Thalassian Elf is the ONLY Thalassian Elf using Ranger Tattoos, b) No blood elf ranger has been shown sporting ranger tattoos since WoW.
Personally, I’d like if both Be and He had tattoos. yet you are critically missing the point: the source of wanting differentiation COMES from the constant criticism of BE players saying we just want their model, and Ranger Tattoos (A theme not currently used by Blood Elves) were brought up to help with that differentiation.
A true damned if you do damned if you don’t if I ever seen one: we brought up tattoos to help with differentiation and now you are “but I also want those”
If you also want tattoos, at least have the decency to agree that High Elves don’t need to be different from Blood Elves, cause otheriwse, it’s just having your cake and eating it too.

thats because blood elves are the high elves. the state of the high elves is in quel’thalas not a couple apartments in dalaran
alleria is just the first thalassian elf displayed with tattoos in WoW. this heritage is unique to all thalassian elves. not just a few individual alliance high elves
k, lets start over: the devs dont actually care about lore. if the lore works against them, they just retcon it. thats what belves are, retconned high elves. thats what velves are, retconned belves. thats why a handful of velves can represent an entire race, yet an entire race, must be slowly phased out of the game, so the retconned belves are exclusive. you want everything. not just some things. you want the whole race, the eye color, the tats, the lore, you cant even let the high elves who do exist, have their own lore.

High Elves exist even if they are few, and they are allowed to have an heritage, to say otherwise would be offensive if we weren’t talking about a video game, dear lord.

if they didnt care about the lore they wouldnt bother preserving the identity of the blood elves as the true high elves of the franchise and preserving the integrity of the horde which should not be forced to share one of its core races. youre not getting access to a horde race without playing the faction. thats why you got void elves

its not a retcon. high elves as a people leave the alliance and spoilers if you dont play thru wc3 they rebrand themselves blood elves after a national tragedy and join the horde. that a couple portal keepers are in the mage district of SW is irrelevant. they are no more a part of the alliance identity then the ethereals in there as well or the goblin in si:7
they are just there for flavor. if you want to put more into that thats your choice
what kind of tattoos do you think helves could have? i’m trying to think of how they could be different from belves and that seems to be a big way.
IMO I’d go for swirly/organic shapes, almost elemental in vibe, like vines and winds.
Contrasting to Rommath’s very geometric tattoo’s which I really love and wish were a BE character option.
you and I and several million other players know the ‘lore’ has been retconned more times than Goldshire has mailbox dancers.
They can and will change whatever they please and write…whatever, to justify it.
