iâm a helf warlock. hehe of course iâm blue and have tentacles (yep tis me hyperspace). but look at the dramatic bangs, swept over one eye. i keep wanting to push the hair off her face. i know sheâs got two eyes. i just know it. currently sheâs a blue tentacled cyclops high elf.

This would be all fine and nice if people that support playable High elves didnât constantly claim ownership of the traditional themes and customs that are associated with High Elven culture, simply because they share the same name. Face tattoos? No Blood Elves canât have those because the High elves used to have those and the Alliance deserve to have High elves! You canât accept the fact that they have indeed have changed completely, and then also suggest they still have claim to a theme they are no longer related to.
If all Helfers owned up to this they would have no problem allowing the Blood Elves to embrace their themes more fully without constantly claiming that those themes belong to the High elves and not the Blood Elves despite the blood elves being the only group to still even practice High Elven customs and uphold their traditions.

Eventually, most people will just make a trial or level 1.

Not in the slightest, since Iâm allowed a metric ton of character slots per realm now, my Void Elf is my Void Elf.
My High Elves will be my High Elves. They have their own flavors they add to the game, even if I prefer one flavor over the other.

I have no high level velfs, theyâve ended up being name holders.

There was a time where I didnât care about High Elves at all; I was indifferent. If they were added, neat. If not, oh well. But seeing the conversations over and over, seeing the work some have done to show how a HIgh Elf Playable race could look âŠIâm definitely on board!
And frankly, with population issues? Literally ever playable race in this game is going extinct because Blizzard got a bit ridiculous with the scale of the war-time loss side of things. Itâs something that âŠshould largely be ignored, I feel like, given that they didnât seem to put much thought into it. And of course, it only gets in the way if you want to do neat things with the playable races!
âŠbest to look at it more as like, propaganga I suppose. âGuys weâre totally dying out!â Is a pretty good motivator to get people doing stuff, even if itâs not entirely true, or might be very true but âŠnot quite?
