nightborne have a completely different theme and aesthetic then night elves. night elves are WoWs version of wood elves. i would love to have an elf druid on the horde. wish this was true
blood/high elves have the exact same theme and aesthetic
It just would be better for the thread, plus it’s just more productive to talk about what we want for our elves instead of circular arguments that we’ve done before.
I specifically referred to the Highborne, who have exactly the same theme as Nightborne – and who are, canonically, made available to the Alliance in Cataclysm.
It is decidedly hypocritical to complain about High Elves stealing the BE’s identity, on the basis of having similar skin tones, while simultaneously denying that the exact same thing occurred with Nightborne (relative to Night Elves).
This isn’t strictly true. They’re similar, as it stands, but they’re not the same.
There are an endless number of potentialities which might alter the stylistic choices of the High Elves. This should hardly be a talking point, considering that mere moment after being blasted with the Void, the Void Elves apparently realized an entirely new aesthetic from scratch.
which if true, is silly, since you’re literally siding with the game company against your fellow players being able to play a fantasy character on a fantasy game. if this were any other game, none of this would be an issue. only wow has a problem regarding elves and have used the faction divide to control what their playerbase can ask for.
It’s just as likely that the people playing Blood Elves are simply bitter.
I don’t want Vulpera anywhere near this game, but I don’t post in that thread because I sincerely don’t care if someone wants to play something so ugly.
