I actually agree with you this one time. I don’t think it’s fair we tell antis they’re being rude for being off-topic and then all of sudden we’re talking about PTR and things that have zero relationship with the ways High Elves can be implemented.
Even though you’ve been told time and again that the Sunwell is a majority Light and that Holy magic has a similar effect to Fel in “overwhelming” the magic in somebodies body when “infused” with it? There is literally 0 evidence to show Blood elves could get Blue eyes again and your 2 Off-hand NPCs with 0 lore significance as your “evidence” is laughable.
Narrator doesn’t even mention Arcane and just calls it, “Font of holy energy”.
You saying anyone’s claim is head cannon while spouting what you spout. My god. lol
But there’s no proof that the majority of it is light, that is YOUR headcanon and perception. Obviously Arcane can have that effect to as evidenced by the wretched Blood Elves that also have blue eyes simply because they were exposed to large amounts of arcane magic. You can call the NPCs “laughable” but too bad that doesn’t make them any less real, especially when one was literally added into 2 seperate expansion with an identical appearance.
So because the Narrator doesn’t mention that there’s arcane that means it’s only light? Despite the fact that the official site literally says that the fount is now a source of both Arcane, and Light energies. Not more Light, not more Arcane, just a source of both. Then goes on to immediately mention that many elves still cling and prefer to the Arcane over the light, that THAT is far-fetched to you? Now that’s truly laughable.
She does, I have a character still on the “Righting Wrongs” quest and went and checked just to be sure.
You mean how Chronicle literally describes Light and Void as the fundamental forces of the Universe and all other forms of magic derive from that, but you think its crazy that Light isn’t more powerful than Arcane. “Head cannon” lol This is getting sad for you Soft.
I’m not surprised, they have to remind people what the Blood Elves story was or else people with crazy head cannons like you start to pop up. You’re like the last delusional BE player who i showed this too who latched on to the last bit for dear life, when it literally just summarizes your plot from TBC.
But no “iT mEaNs MuH bLu EyZ.”
Keep trucking on, you’re a good source of a hardy chuckle.
Just because Light is a base element doesn’t mean that it overrides other sources of magic, there’s literally no evidence that confirms or even implies this, it’s just another example of you asserting headcanon as a crutch for your argument. The only thing sad is your habit of confusing theories with facts.
What a puerile attempt at an insult, and boring too, but I guess I should have expected you to resort to the ad hominems with the lack of any real argument you seem to have. Try again.
So my idea from the Official WoW universe Guide Chronicle, is head cannon, the obviously seen corruption of Light(Illidan, Yrel(originally Blue glowing eyes), Lightforged Orcs, Lightforged Draenei(originally Blue glowing eyes)) all seen in game as your evidence for Light overpowering magic in multiple races bodies, is “Head cannon”. But “The Sunwell is half Arcane, so it makes sense they’ll get blue eyes again eventually” is according to you a “fact”.
You understand its ok to be wrong right? You don’t need to push so hard to be in the opposition when all it resorts to is you “inventing” lore to fit your idea, which is worse than being wrong.
Really? Cause it’s pretty apparent the a lot of people confuse Blood elf lore and High Elf lore daily. Try Harder.
I was making a joke but it may have more truth than you realize, when over half the Blood elf players don’t know and understand their own lore, as evidenced by multiple High Elf threads by Blood Elf players not understanding the concept and the “Blue eyes for Blood Elves”, thread, by a Blood Elf player so lost in lore that she openly admitted to denying said lore so she could get Blue eyes again". That you believe, “Some Blood elves are still mana-addicts, as was our entire arc before the Sunwell was cleansed” is equal to “Blood Elves can pick and choose what they get from the Sunwell and thus we deserve Blue eyes again”, is by definition, Head cannon.
You feed off the “Holy Font” as Blizzards own beautiful narrator so clearly put it, and unless you decide to blow it up or die, your eyes will remain yellow or green.
Yet all those examples of “gold” eyes have nothing to do with how Blood elves got gold eyes eyes? The lightforged literally go through an entire ritual before the forge of eons infuses their body, soul, and mind with pure light that changes them completely. Not half arcane, and half light, pure light. The fact that many Blood Elves are still walking around with green eyes despite being attached to the very same well the golden eyed blood elves are shoots your argument in the foot.
Illidan’s gold eyes have nothing to do with the light, and had more to do with their druidic potential, or symbolized a night elf’s great destiny. Malphurion was born with Silver eyes and later developed gold eyes simply through his prowess and ability as a druid. This has absolutely nothing to do with the light.
The problem for you is that I’m not wrong, and that your argument doesn’t even begin to make sense for anyone with an idea of any of lore. Maybe spend less time trying to infuse your responses with meaningless snark and childish babble.
Tell me which race still speaks the High elven language? Which race uses high elven architecture, and clothing? Which race carries on the high elven traditions, and customs carried down by the High elves for thousands of years? I can tell you that it is not the Alliance High elves, that’s for sure. The High elven lore is carried on solely by the Blood Elves, and very much belongs to them over a race that has all-but-abandoned their culture and assimilated into the alliance races.
Oh the irony in this response is pretty delicious considering that half of the “blood elf” lore you spout is pure conjecture, theory, or just plain out headcanon. Literally this entire response is contrived by just how salty and vehemently you are against the idea of Blood elves getting blue eyes, that despite it being a giant block of text, you’re quite literally saying nothing at all.
Literally the official text under Blood Elf on the Blizzard website says that many blood elves still prefer, and use Arcane magic over light magic, right after stating that the well was a source of both. That your argument for the well being “mainly” light with absolutely no evidence to support it went out the window when the fact that you simply made it up became obvious. There’s trying harder, and then there’s trying too hard, and you seem to habitually cross that line.
And yet the official site beautifully clarifies in more depth that the well is a source of both Light and Arcane magic, and sources of magic are drawn upon. The narrator himself even clarifies that many Blood elves still prefer the arcane over the light, which would explain why only Blood elves that wield the light are seen with gold eyes. Your little theories, and desperate headcanon isn’t going to get in the way of blizzard giving blue eyes to blood elves, especially when it’s something Ion already sees as a Blood elf thematic.
In the words of Ion, if you want to play a fair-skinned, blond haired, blue eyed elf, sorry? The Horde is waiting for you.
This is not true, please stop with this headcanon. Even the devs explicitly said the Blood Elves (not some, not a few, not “only Light-wielding elves” - THE Blood Elves) are now purifying their fel glow and acquiring a golden one.
Incorrect as when the developer was going into why Blood Elves got gold eyes he listed other light-wielding blood elves like lady Liadrin and the lightforged, justifying their ability to “Tap” into the light. (Much like how the Blood elves could tap into mana.) He specifically says “We changed some of our NPCs like Lady liandrin, to utilize that customization and we gave it to players to say, you know what, if you want to play that your character has been purified by this light-infused Sunwell, good on you, that’s your choice.” The fact that it was stated so plainly to be on a choice by choice basis suggests that no, not all Blood elves are receiving gold eyes.
Which explains why Lor’themar’s visual update, despite being AFTER Lady Liadrin received her gold eyes had his eyes remain green.
Also in the video you linked he specifically mentions Blood Elf paladins and priests being the only npc classes being added with this new customization, which only furthers my argument that light-wielding Blood elves are the only ones who’ve been canonically purified. Which also suggests that the type of magic each individual blood elf employs has the strongest influence on their bodies and eyes. You really think it’s a coincidence that in multiple interviews the only classes being mentioned getting gold eyes just HAPPENs to be all light-wielding classes? Riiight.
Yet the very idea idea that classes that might utilize more arcane magics might also have a similar effect on their bodies and eyes is so just so unbelievable and out of the realm of possibility. Give me a break.
Also speaking of headcanon and inaccuracies are you ever gonna clarify what you meant by Valeera having gold eyes? Because I saw her updated model, and it clearly had green eyes.
I wonder what the inclusion of Valeera is going to mean for this story? She has been extremely loyal to Varian in the past, but what about Anduin? Seems her loyalties are mixed at this point?
Maybe something is possibly going down with silvermoon in this patch? Who knows, may not have anything to do with what we expect at all. Lol
