High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

She literally quoted the game and you stated she was using head canon. There are high elves and blood elves who desire reunification. Suggesting otherwise is just being obstinate.

Are a neutral race who was designed to be able to choose either side.
This is not the case with blood elves and high elves , where less than 1% of their race ran off to stay with the alliance and the other 90% chose to stay with their kind and ally with the Horde.
You can keep going “Pandaren” just like you add skol to the end of every post. It does not make it correct. It just becomes words with little meaning.

my understanding was different from this. i am asking the others to explain what they think. i have nothing against you or your posts.

The SC operates under Dalaran which is neutral. They haven’t been present for all of BFA.

Basically the Blood Elves use of mana tap made them hunger more and more according the chronicles.

The Sunwell now just gives them an infinite fix with no side effects. They aren’t actually “Cured”.

High Elves on the other hand went the path of moderation and thus need it far less then Blood Elves.

Even in Ions famous quote that people said means “No” he says their relation to the Sunwell is different.

Also, gold eyes lorewise is more for light users but they did not want to restrict it for players.

As the video says, Sunwell infused Eyes = Gold.

Arcane can’t purge Fel. Light can because it’s a greater power in the universe only equal to Void.

I honestly can’t take him seriously, as he only pops into the thread to make snide, snarky responses with little to no actual evidence to back it up. He loves saying everything is “headcanon” even if you cite it directly from the game. It’s more amusing than anything.

Then present why your understanding is different, but to simply refer to my post as a “load of crap” is just plain out rude and contributes nothing to the conversation besides furthering more needless animosity. Either contribute, or further the dialogue, or don’t respond at all. We have enough snide, insulting comments.

personally, i dont mind either way as far as eye color. but the whole race? like the alliance high elves go horde instead of alliance? nopers, not down for that.

You’re getting far too into the headcannon, mayhap take a step back.

And yet the wretched Blood elves were never cleansed by any light, and have blue eyes simply because they fed on too much arcane. interesting.

In the matter of ‘percentages’, over 90% of the occupants of Quel’Thalas were wiped out, along with over half that land being blighted. Yet they all constitute over a THIRD of the Horde total population, across all servers.

And none of them countered the fact that things are getting better, not worse.

Some still dislike them, but they REJOINED the Night Elves and we have dozens examples of High Elves and Night Elves working together.

Shandris Feathermoon, one of her listed examples is now brothers in arms with a former Blood Elf Highborne as of BFA.

So no. Things “Getting worse” is a headcanon.

They did though, as many of these examples happened after the events that were supposedly meant to suggest improving relations. Some night elves being okay with working with the Highborne doesn’t invalidate the game continously pushing the narrative that Night Elven society at large does not trust them and still holds them accountable.

It’s funny that all my individual examples of High elves and blood elves working together were not “convincing” enough at their improved relations, and yet your few examples is now compelling enough for you. Oof the irony is indeed real.

Shandris literally says the only reason she doesn’t kill the Highborne on sight is because of Tyrande, and because of she doesn’t kill the on sight it must now mean she likes them? This type of logic is really profound. lol

Draenei number in the few hundred.

Lightforged where mostly wiped out in the fight with the Legion and all the ones you play are from the Exodar who have been converted.

And then we have Pandaren, where, the students of one school on the back of a giant turtle became the player populations for two factions.

Quel’dorei fits more with the Alliance than Horde.

Same goes for Ogres as well.

so this “there’s not enough to make a playable race” thing seems to be mostly bs then?

high elves needed it just as more as they were mana tapping artifacts. The only ones not badly affected by the sunwell’s loss were rangers and warriors as stated by the lore.
It is well known high elves were mana tapping as well. They mana tapped different things, so this is only half true of an argument because moderation was done by both sides depending on the class.

In terms of how they view it perhaps. Nothing in lore before or after his statement as ever reflected high elves being affected by the sunwell differently or viewing it with any less importance as seen in the Nightborne recruitment quest.

Which was followed up with “if you want to show you were cleansed by the sunwell, gold eyes is there for you.”.
So…all high elves and blood elves should have gold eyes by now.
