You do understand that before the Sunwell was cleansed High Elves did exactly the same thing…only they called them artifacts…right?
That may be; at least they didn’t have to put the screws to a windchime for their spells OR keep as slaves poor infected Gnomes!
And how the Belfs treat the Wretched is truly vile!
Alliance High Elves may not be perfect but at least they don’t do THAT.
and if they were alliance, we’d all be like, what the actual freak. they have great gear in the sunwell though.
This is true.
I, personally, find it odd that there is such a focus by the playerbase on the “to drain or not to drain” situation – seeing as most of the Alliance-aligned HE’s today were living outside of Quel’thalas when the BE’s were siphoning magic from creatures, and as such only an extremely small number of HE’s would be bitter about this particular issue.
(And many of them are probably now dead, or Wretched, as the largest canon group of exiles were domiciled in Quel’Lithien.)
JUst saw that link about Felbloods Elves.
Count me in!
They look more evil than I do when I’m in my little ‘monthly mood’.
Another shortage of news. Apparently there’s LOTS of encrypted files. Blizz is trying to keep its secrets.
Still, we should get text strings and NPC database some time soon. I love to check the NPCs to find out which characters will be featured and what kinds of stories we may get.
So i just discovered Blizzard actually did all those animations just for the lulz, because the Worgen and the Goblins had Monk animations since MoP.
It was actually for the lulz
The gold eyes were done specifically to show BE who are cleansed by the sunwell.

Because velves did not exist until a few MONTHS ago?[/quote]
This has nothing to do with anything I stated. It is just you finding a reason to be upset.
Well…yes…
high elves and blood elves = name change
Forsaken and humans= one died, was brought back as a rotting undead corpse. not the same.
it is and that is the reality.
it is a desire to create a larger difference than truly exists. To be honest, the entire schism being based on this issue was an odd one given that the draining of mana was from unintelligent creatures.
I would imagine the capture of a Naaru would have been the reason for the schism but, well, it worked out in BE favor.
It’s a whole lot easier to stomach Night elves getting along with the Highborne? What? They’ve been separated for thousands of years, and in that time their resentment for the Highborne has only increased. When many of the High elves returned to the Alliance the Night elves were their greatest critics. While the original races of the alliance already greeted them coldly, and with suspicioun it was the Night elves that took the extra step to warn and pit the Alliance against them.
Even the Highborne that were accepted back into Night elven society are treated as pariah, as evidenced by the dialogue you get when you speak to the sentinels regarding Highborne mage trainers. When Vestia Moonspear, a night elven priest decided to take on arcane magic and interact with the Highborne she was outcast by other night elves that could not fathom what possessed her to make such a choice. Shandris Feathermoon even said that had it not been for Tyrande’s mercy she was honorbound to slay any and all highborne in her sight. Tyrande and a few outliers are the only examples of Night elves getting along with High elves, while the majority are represented as being highly skeptical and weary of them.
High elves and Blood Elves have been seperated for what? Twelve or so years? In that that time many High elves and Blood Elves have been seen working together, and occasionally even befriending each other. Even Auric Sunchaser a leading officer of a group of high elves is seen preaching about their unification as a race. And now with the Sunwell back, their most precious and unifying symbol, you think it’s easier to embrace them getting along with the Night elves? When Vareesa, Tyrande, and Liadrin were all stationed in front of Suramar, Vareesa simply says she never thought she’d ever be fighting along side Night Elves on the battlefield, while seeming to have no problem fighting along Blood elves as they were also present. Also considering that she already fought alongside Halduron and his forces to help protect Silvermoon from the amani.
High elves would much sooner return to the Sunwell, their homes, friends and family among the Blood Elves before reuiniting with the Night elves, a society that is already greatly suspicious and untrusting toward them.
It’s for race-swap effects. It’s not unusual to have such extra animations even when you don’t have access to a class.
Belfs have alliegiance to the Horde: High Elves do not.
As for the Forsaken, they are SOLELY of Human stock: meaning the Horde has STOLEN lawfully buried Alliance dead.
Graverobbers and corpserunners, you will return what is ours or you will pay.
One way or another.
Your choice.
According to…?
Auric Sunchaser the literal leader of the Allerian High elves quite clearly stating the desire to unify all children of Quel’thalas at the sight of the Sunwell. And the many other High elves that were also seen residing their. Is it really that hard to understand why High Elves would return to the Sunwell, their most sacred site in their history?
Or should they return to the Night elves who don’t like them, and treat them with suspicion and sometimes outright hostility?

Her headcannon.
Like how she said “Night elves getting along with the Highborne? What? They’ve been separated for thousands of years, and in that time their resentment for the Highborne has only increased.” when Highborne literally REJOINED the Night Elves in Cataclysm.
Thank you for the info; I simply needed to know the source.
You are almost as touchy about this subject as I am.
Of course, several thousand years is a long time, even for Elves; I
'm sure we will come to understanding, if the prodigals return home and behave.
Trust is earned, not given.
that’s why nelves can be mages, yes?
And they’re still considered outcasts in Night Elven Society. Shandris feathermoon literally says that if it weren’t for Tyrande she would have murdered them all on sight. Or the fact that the Sentinels themselves literally say that they still hold them responsible for the actions of their forebears. Or the fact that the priest-turned mage was literally outcast by all her friends for associating with them. But yeah, let’s pretend it’s my headcanon.
Yeah.
They no longer have a hatred of Arcane magic and have reintagraded Highborne into their society.
And Vereesa was literally at Miranda’s wedding. So any “Bad Blood” between the two groups is shrinking. Not growing.
And I’m not saying their relationship has no issues but it’s not getting worse.
as if any of that matters since a bunch o horde leaders just made a truce with jaina.
