This doesnt discredit that they still dont happen. This is reminding me of an argument where we talked about Lorthemar being a facist because of nonupdated TBC content…so why are we now using the “possibility” of the pilgrimages being done?

This also doesnt matter because “In the Shadow of the Sun” does a soft telling of the radiance of the Sunwells energy.

The problem is the Sunwell and the High Elves is not brough up from WotLK until Alleria and her void powers…which doesnt so anything for the queldorei story.

But…isnt this exactly how they got the green eyes? How do we know the Sunwell or light energy isnt being used in the similar ways as they used fel crystals?

Its almost like we have problems with Quelthalas being stuck in old content to tell update sindorei/queldorei stories.

No I meant the aesthetically changed crystals. It’s the mana/blood crystals, which are red.

Interesting, so what we have about High Elves?

  1. Does the race exists? Yes, and they are their own group, race arguments doesn’t negate that.
  2. Is the race part of a faction? Yes, the Alliance, and coincidentally it’s that faction the original post aim at. It’s not necessary for an race to be part of a faction to be playable in one, formerly Neutral races become playable in specific factions, but already being in one is a plus.
  3. Blizzard can make a unplayable race playable? Yes, they are doing this since BC. In BfA they made a system that allow new races to share models with existing Core Races, it’s called Allied Races. Look! The OP is an Allied Race suggestion, that make things easier.

Any argument can’t negate those facts and by nature are meta arguments, arguments over arguments that don’t matter in the end.

I mean, does it really matter which crystals are what colour? The fact that they change mana crystals’ colour for the sake of aesthetics as a matter of canon makes the whole thing much murkier.

I’m not sure where Fel-green with demonic eyes ranks for the Blood Elves. Nor how ssriously we should take a throwaway joke like that.

Any more seriously than we should take a faction whose entire BC arc was based around them not doing a thing suddenly doing a thing out of nowhere for a single WQ written for the other faction that isn’t commented on or explained at all?

Notice how high elf opposers usually reject all proposals for differentiation (tattoos, slight transformation) because it’s not canon while proposing everything to make blood elves and high elves indistinguishable (blue eyes for blood elves! Gold eyes for high elves!) despite also not being canon, and finally conclude: it can’t be done because they are too alike!

If your race can be made to look like the other with changes that could be implemented as customisations for it, it sorta points to them being very alike, no?
