Still waiting to see that reflection on High Elves btw by all the people who assume outright it’s happening to them too even though they have no evidence of it.
Which is funny since typically people have been bringing in evidence for their side but this Golden eyes on High Elves thing is being reported when 0 evidence of such a thing exists.
The Sunwell’s power has no physical limits or boundaries. An elf bound to its energies would be so no matter how far away they went from it. Its energies are available to be drawn upon from anywhere in the cosmos and even alternate realities
the pilgrimages are just spiritual journeys to a very special place. as high/blood elves are the same people and both feed on the sunwell any changes happening to one is happening to the other
you bring up eye color again, i am interested in your thoughts on an earlier post of mine in the thread
I mean considering Kalec and Arator are the only “shown in-game” reported “Half-elf” models we can only assume Blizzard will update them when they’re heavily relevant again.
For instance, Lor’themar got his new updated look within BFA because he becomes more active in 8.2, while BFA had him start as his older model when he wasn’t as involved (I think only in Battle for Lordaeron scenario).
I’m sure if there’s a moment where either of these two half-elves are supposed to get heavy screen time (like Lor’themar in upcoming game scenes) then they’ll get revised models as well.
Rexxar got a revised Kul’Tiran model because he featured in the War campaign and as has been stated before by Blizzard, they update things based on the pipeline they’re working on.
It’s pretty cool though because Rexxar’s model is a very good mix of Ogre and Orc. Makes me interested in seeing what Blizzard’s version of half-elf will look in-game.
They got some references in the books. Anyway Arathor used to be a blood elf. The golden eyes were good for any paladins. As blizz sated high elves are blood elves. Arator uses the blood elf model. If he got a new model that would be a sign of a new allied race or lore importance. Slyvanas got the blood elf model after blood elves were added for example.
Don’t think this’ll ever happen as Green Orcs are still Green. We have no evidence of Arcane overpowering Fel. Only Light overpowering Fel with the Golden Eyes.
What of the races that only have one eye color? or two eye colors? What makes you think for instance we’ll start seeing Night Elves with Green or Red eyes (this is the equivalent of thinking Blood Elves will get Blue or Purple Eyes).
Arator has always been a half-elf. Are you speaking only of the model? That doesn’t mean anything when
refer to him as a half-elf.
Yeah this is what I said (the lore importance bit), just like Lor’themar and Rexxar getting updated models, Arator and/or Kalecgos will get one too I assume once they’re relevant to the story.
the blood elves have a light light fel taint. plus the orcs dont have access to a sunwell to speed up the dissipation of said light fel taint
i reckon it will be like other modern mmos where players have the choice to pick any eye color. its a small step to modern mmo customization that hopefully leads to hair color next
as long as the race you want isnt already playable by the horde, i dont care what the alliance ask for. sethrak, ogres, mok’nathal, half elves, tuskar…if you want any of that, go nuts and agitate and beg the developers
but a line must be drawn when its a desire for a race that is already playable on the other faction and it is a strawman argument to think horde players just dont want the alliance to have nice things. we dont want you to have what is already ours, which in a game where the factions are predicated on race and not ideology is a perfectly reasonable position to hold
Isle of Thunder, after BC they briefly swapped to using blue crystals but I think someone at Blizzard finds the green ones more aesthetically pleasing.
Right so I say Blood Elves are using Fel Crystals in Nazmir and you bring up old content
Sounds like what Sylvanas says to dimwitted Horde members. “Yes pay no attention to my use of plague on our own forces and detaining Baine, we’re at war with the Alliance! FoRtHeHoRdE!!”
Okay, first of all, bring it down a notch there Snippy McGee.
Secondly, there’s a precedent of blood elves using regular mana crystals that are specifically green because, presumable Blizzard prefers the aesthetic, that seems like a fairly sizeable caveat to the claim that they’re back to using fel from literally out of nowhere.
Thirdly, blood elves using fel crystals instead of green mana crystals is from older content.
