High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

There is plenty of “base” which you have yet to address, and the only facts you’ve used are circumstantial arguments for what ended up happening, not what did not happen… I’ve already elaborating that failing to you

 oK I really should stop.

They only changed one thing though.

Yes, you’re embarrassing yourself with all your baseless speculations. I pity you.

You’re really, really bad at this.

Why do you post here months later? I genuinely wonder why you waste your life being a contrarian. Do you derive pleasure from it or something?

Spoken like someone who can’t refute facts.

Know that subscription thing, people pay to access the game?

I mean that’s all you do. You needle at people without actually arguing anything and just leaning on Blizzard to fight your battles for you because you actually say nothing of substance yourself.

And you’ve been here for months and months arguing against the same thing. Honestly you say you pity me above, but the fact is there’s nothing more pitiful than someone who spends so much time fighting against something that ultimately has no benefit for him.

It’s sad. Really, really, really sad.

oh i dunno. i think it’s entirely possible. then they looked at it and said, egads, they still look too much like blood elves. lets go the opposite direction - instead of glowing bright, go shadowy blue - and thus, blueberry elves were born on a rock circling azeroth… somewhere near the void or something

Okay fine. You guys deserve your high elves. Blizzard just give them their dumb high elves. It’s not a lot of work at all.

That was a giant oof, you just wasted typing. I’m sensing a bit of hostility towards me.

Why are you so upset at me?

Honestly what I think they’ll end up doing is just slapping the High Elf creation options into the Blood Elf umbrella when they do the faction playerbase merge and let everyone be a High Elf if they wanted to… same with Void Elf customization also being available under that umbrella.

Make everyone happy I guess.

Only thing that’ll be weird is a High Elf being tagged as a Blood Elf… but I think we can all survive if they do that… as long as it’s explained in game… or something

Man, I’ve got a whole cult that follows me around calling me a troll because of this.

Eh “x” looking like “y” has never really mattered despite that being a common thread of argumentation here.

Lightforged Draenei are just slightly glowier Draenei after all.

Of course the next arbitrary argument is that they’re the same faction… as if Blizzard has any method to their madness. Allied Races were presumably just extensions of existing races yet we suddenly get an entirely new one in Vulpera.

I wish I knew why he was so upset with me.

He has the actual game…and what’s been done…on his side. How much more substantive would you like it to be?

LF Draenei make more sense than any other Lightforged race. They’ve been riding around in a Naaru van across space. They’ve been guided by the Naaru throughout their travels. Where’s the canonical reference to High Elves being close to and guided by the Naaru all this time?

Could they have been? Of course…and Guzzle could be playing a Lightforged Orc too…but it wouldn’t make any sense and neither would High Elves being chosen for LF in place of Draenei.

It has more to do with them crossing the faction barrier.

Him not getting this is kinda sad.

Oh, I think I’ve figured it out now. He’s upset that Blizzard didn’t add High Elves at the start when it was so obvious and so now he’s back tracking and trying to figure out which faction they could have fit into being made despite the obvious faction not being picked a.k.a. SC.

This is the only reason I can think that he would think that LF HE would make more sense than LF Draenei.

Can you not just inject yourself into something without actually understanding what the context was? The Internet would be a much better place that way.

He contested my notion of what did NOT happen, not what DID happen. That was the argument, and yet not a single counterargument about that has been stated.

I was arguing what the game failed to present in order to provide sufficient context for what ended up happening. I contested that the evidence pointed to something being off, and concluded that they clearly had other plans that they scrapped.

I never argued that Lightforged Draenei don’t make sense, merely that they could have easily not have been the chosen AR if Blizzard deemed it so.

If the main counterargument in regards to them being the stars of the Argus experience necessitates them being the AR (which I would actually contest as they shared screentime with others), then I presented Void Elves completely overshadowing the Void Broken despite the latter being the actual reputation and “stars”.

But nothing. No counterargument. Just repeated arguments about what ended up happening.

And your edit clearly points to you understanding that, so why are you quoting me?

You want to quote the rest of that statement or will you continue to present things out of context?

If you’re going to comment on something, read the whole thing.

well if krokuul broken are draenei, and they were originally the voided race, we wouldnt have two draenei. so who would go with void broken, if not another draenei?
