Hey Blizzard, Classic Dungeons Are Fun

Mythic + is kind just spam run.

Until reach 10 above even still it’s almost like it.

i am not going to lie I liked it in legion but then I realized I am running same dungeon over and over again for same gear just slightly better.

Why not go back to classic style. Different types of dungeons some easier and some hard and some extremely hard.

Only a self made millionaire? Come on, man. This is the internet. You can pretend you’re anything here. I’m a self made billionaire, astronaut, and best selling author with 3 runway model girl friends. That’s how you do it.

I disagree. Disc priest was at its peak in Cata (the epitome of DPS healing). As was Holy. The Warlocks I knew were some of the top DPS in their raids. Same with hunters I knew. And they were all in progression guilds.

Every xpac starts off with classes screwed up. Or need I remind you of this very one?

Cata dungeons and raids were fun as hell for a lot of people. The group incentive, the guild incentives, the profession incentives were things that some very much enjoyed.

Not everyone hated Cata.

But the point of Cata for this thread focuses on the boss mechanics. Some of those were pretty awesome and it’s hysterical to this day to watch people die when they try to ignore them.

First tier though? They fixed those problems, but they made people quit at the start.

Welcome to the beginning of every expansion, though.

That was the first time that had happened and so drastically though, it got a lot of back lash. I remember the forums still.

Good for you. I am happy just making enough and having a great wife and kids. That all I wanted in life and I travel the world is extra bonus. Experience different cultures.

Not everyone has the same goals in life.
My goal has been met anything else is just extra. To look down on op choice is kind of sad maybe he doesn’t want to be a millionaire. I don’t.

Enjoy the game. Take care.

Oh, I remember the flip outs in BC and Wrath, too. And continuing on through every one after that. Blizz fails at class balance every time they release an expansion. Which is why I’d love to see a fourth spec for all, but I know they can’t handle it.

Really? I didn’t play BC, but only heard good things about the transition same with Wotlk. Sure some things were straight up broken OP(Death Knights), but nothing was under-performing I don’t think.

Cata was the first time classes got gutted.

I’m not flexxing for no reason, just that they replied with “I’m nobody irl”, and they kind of barked up the wrong tree.

Good for you though, I just hate traveling personally. Different altitudes mess with my head.

I actually live pretty moderately, only stay rich by not spending any money.

Mists saw more gutted than Cata. That’s when the entire talent system changed to just these prime glyphs we have now. Cata didn’t so much gut stuff as much as it just took away hybrids and focused on the specs. The abilities were mostly still there and the glyph system was actually pretty cool. I think people forget that it wasn’t in Cata that we lost our talent system.

There were complaints and issues the beginning of BC and Wrath. But there was a lot more than class design that ticked some people off in order to quit in Cata. Perhaps too much change all at once for some and they were bitter about the way the specializations worked in Cata.

For sure it only got worse after Cata, I just mean it was the only time damage output got hit so hard for some people.

Warlock for example went from a top tier raid spec and arguably the best PvP class in the game to a weakling that couldn’t kill someone that was lvl 80 when you’re 85 in full gear. It just felt really bad. I know they turned things around, but it was like a huge shocker.

No, I’m just not going to get bullied by some losers that don’t even know me.

Also, who brought up irl first? Yeah, thought so.

Crowd control.

Round Em up and burn em down has it’s place. Just not on every pull.

“I hope the healer can keep up with my horrible tanking practices” should not be the only strategy in a dungeon.

In BFA I once saw a tank load into the dungeon faster than the healer, it was only a few extra seconds but by the time the healer made it in the tank had aggro’d 3 groups and kited away from him until he died, and immediately left the group. But hey Ion think’s Mythic+ is great. So I’ll just start having the right kind of fun. -Classic

As a healer, I see this 90% of the time. IDK if it’s the kiddies, or noobs, or…

Honestly its not necessarily difficulty but the fact that Classic dungeons require more focus and attention. Even though on average, they’re easier. Maybe its just the fact there are slightly more interesting things to do and that are actual functions to execute in classic dungeons.

Aggro management. You get a cocky player in your group? They pull the aggro and it can easily lead to a wipe if you don’t recover.

CC matters a lot. Having at least 1 class in your 5 man with a strong cc is desirable. That also leads into class composition.

Slower pace of dungeons. During our pre-raid gearing 5 mans we won’t be able to exactly handle 5 packs at a time. That is called a wipe.

You can actually plot out how you want to gear up pre-raid through 5 mans in Classic. Its fun. No you don’t need a spreadsheet… Just grab a notebook.

That is another thing. The only thing you manage in BFA is your stats and transmog. In Classic the only reason to play alts was for A- To try a new class, B- To get professions. You truly have a main and the “I play alts because I’m bored” doesn’t really exist like it does in BFA. Everyone had alts. Everyone will most likely have alts. The difference is that you will have a main you’ll have to focus a lot more on and you’ll want to focus more on. I get so bored with BFA I stop playing my main altogether sometimes.

I’m an alaholic myself and most likely with have like 20 characters or something. I’ll play them on my downtime’s downtime. In my downtime from Raiding I’ll be farming. Then after that I can play on my fire mage alt. There is so much to do one toon I think I’d only ever play an alt if I truly get bored.

As of right now I do have over 30 lvling alts in BFA. I’m actually at character max, 50. In Classic I won’t care about 30 alts, I’ll love my main and I’m looking forward to it.

When you log onto your main in Classic you’re going to know which dungeon to hit next and work towards that goal. You really need that +14 agility cape. You can pvp on your downtime and really enjoy it. You heard about some wpvp going on from guildies. Go enjoy yourself.

To play the game you’re forced into the economy no matter what you do. Right now I can casually play BFA without losing at all. I can do any LFR, goof off in BGs because who cares, and engage single player in the content. Playing single player in Classic is boring… Have fun farming mats and killing the same lvl 60 mobs over and over again. Thats all you can do single player. In BFA, I can do all of my world quests solo, go around and engage in pet battle solo, collect transmog solo, grind rep solo, etc. etc. etc…

In Classic its 100% about server community.

This is so absolutely true. Most of the folks who’re so hyped for Classic are going to get the shock of their lives if they don’t massively adjust their style of play. The modern style of “go-go-go” to beat the timer will wipe you fast and often in Vanilla. Which is probably the only reason I’d ever consider playing Classic now.
