M+ on paper is a nice idea, if you IGNORE the speed run garbage; the problem with M+ is that they’re all designed around Speed runs so the NPC’s are not really all that challenging at all because they’re designed to be consumed at break neck pace.
The NPC’s per your level in Vanilla are much much more powerful than those in BFA because if you don’t pull them systematically your group will wipe.
For M+ to actually be “Good” Blizzard would have to change the philosophy from speed running to completion mode.
Meaning the difficulty is still there, but the NPC’s are much more powerful and they need to be CC’d and killed 1 and 2 at a time MAX or you’re dead.
This kind of a change would greatly improve the PVE 5 man side of the game because players from a wider variety of classes would be viable because it would no longer be developed and tuned simply for “speed running”.
As for Classic / Vanilla Dungeon design; it’s superior in layout in every way… Bigger dungeons that are sprawling mazes are epic and amazing…
Modern Dungeons are mostly hallways designed to be cleared in 10 min, and that is a horrible design because it’s designed to cater to solo players who’re all in a hurry to get nowhere.
So…just to clarify you are talking about M+ here right not any other difficulty?
As honestly I don’t believe how you are portraying your story.
Mythic+ has a countdown after you have loaded in, entered your key and been ported together at the front.
It’s very unlikely that the healer loaded in seconds after the countdown occurred, especially considering their PC had already loaded into the dungeon beforehand.
I feel ya. I’m not a big fan of the increased rewards systems in BfA, my main progresses way too fast for my liking that nothing is worth doing.
When I log onto my main it’s for progression only, and even then the rewards aren’t there (heroic guild). I do it for the kills and the fun.
But if I’ve done a +10 for the week already and someone wants to do one, I’m honestly not all that excited to do it on my main.
90% of the time if I do it’s just carrying another guild member who has got his weekly done on there other characters and now are on some low level scrub because they don’t want to do it on their main either.
I would much prefer a slower pace gearing system like classic provided. Sure I may not get an item today, or tomorrow, but at least I have something to work towards and it’s attainable.
