It was my understanding that they broke any kind of auto inviting but I could be wrong. I know there was a big stir about it because not only did they break the addons they also took it out of the world quest group finder UI for most WQs.
Disable this addon, ASAP!

You said it yourself that is the spirit of Classic because it was in Classic, no?
So, I’m not sure where you’re trying to angle this.
So basically your thread is complaining about auto-invite specifically and trying to fear-monger about that.
Assuming this feature remains, there were numerous auto-invite addons in actual vanilla. Many worked off whispering a keyword or looked for keywords in chat channels.
edit: for clarity, while the video was taken in BfA, you can load ClassicLFG in BfA yourself just by adding it to the addon folder since the API is similar enough that it works, and it does appear that a auto-invite checkbox was added to the addon in a later version, though I still don’t think that violates any “spirit” of vanilla given that many addons did auto invites and accepts in vanilla. If blizzard hates that specific feature they can disable it just like they disabled auto-invite in BfA under certain circumstances.

Also, with the 26586815291 players crammed onto 14 servers, I don’t think people will have much of a problem finding groups the traditional way.

I didnt see them confirm this addon specifically is OK. However they did say addons that make the interface easier or OK. Which is what the ClassicLFG addon does.

Or break the auto add functionality, theyve neutered addons before.
So don’t spam chat for hours. Go play retail with all the other people that don’t want to experience classic.

I never once said I thought they would side with me.
Generally the people who need to protest are the ones who are not being sided with, hence the need for protest.
Continue to cry about us protesting though if you wish.
