You don’t have to use it. You can still make/join groups the traditional way too. It doesn’t port you to the dungeon either, just handles the random tells you would get instead.
The autoinvite is something I would turn off personally. I would like to pick classes that make sense for my run and not get 4 mages and myself.
this also needs to be toggled on exactly like that guy did. but you don’t have to use it, you can sit in Org all day in chat telling people to hike all the way to org so you can inspect them and then send them on their way to Uldaman
I’m not sure why people thought playing a 15 yr old game would magically make people different and bring a sense of “community” back. It’s the same people playing retail, they don’t magically have a different personality because they logged into a lower rez version of the same game.
You don’t have to used LFG in retail WoW either, it still doesn’t mean LFG is good for the game. Classic WoW was created in part to avoid exactly what this addon does.
The thing is though, you don’t have to have this addon to join a group, or even his group. It just invites others with the addons. I don’t think the auto-invite isn’t a good feature because of random invites to people you may not want, or classes that don’t make sense.
As someone who has spent hours trying to form a group then have it disband because we can’t get enough players, this is a godsend.
There is no auto invite part with the actual addon, according to the author AND the cursforge listing, this whole thing is fishy, specially since classic servers aren’t up atm so where is he showing this?
