I agree with you.
The auto-join function is a no-brainer. It needs to go. I also think the auto-spam by ALL invited party members needs to go.
Even without automation, it will significantly impact how people find groups for dungeons to make it a less social experience.
Nothing about this addon is redeemable.
I certainly hope he does so it can be put to rest one way or the other.
I was going to download it and/or throw some money to the creator if he has donations, just to show some support since he seems like a cool dude. But considering I’ve already got a full group to play with I doubt I’ll ever actually use the addon, so it doesn’t really bother me regardless of what happens. I’ll feel a little bad for the guy for using his time to develop it if they do decide it won’t be allowed though.
That’s a yikes from me dawg. Ban this addon!

Oh it doesnt matter to me. I dont fear add ons. My life will go on whether they block it or not. I will use it if they allow it though. If they dont I wont fall apart and threaten to quit. Add ons dont determine my level of enjoyment in this game.
And it won’t. There is a retail version and a Classic version…classic version does not have these features.

Having a tool that can automatic check for tank, based on talents, healer based on talents, and then also auto invite three dps… that is extremly bad, that shouldent work in classic…

Wouldnt surprise me if he already is considering how hard hes been pushing this and this streamer in particular.
I hope he is at least because id hate to do that job for free lol
I only watched streams when the Classic beta came out.
This is just an important issue to me and many others as it will impact our Vanilla experience for the next couple of years or so.
Worth spending a day or two getting invested in the topic and fight for what you think is right.

Good luck. I think you are fighting a losing battle. But if you like the hill why not die on it.
I made friends on my alts. Not as many as with my mains considering I played them far less and certainly not enough to have group and low tier raid invites flowing in non-stop like my mains… Trying to be social in LFD almost never works been playing around with a drood while waiting for classic and almost no-one speaks and people almost never slow down to even reply when you say something…
Still my point originally was that if to many people use such an addon that it stops becoming an option and becomes mandatory if you want to play at any decent level. Think about threat meters They are technically optional but go ahead and tell any raiding guild you want to join that you won’t use one and see how much harder it makes finding one that will take you.

No it doesnt. The main addon everyone has been talking about posts to chat so you can find groups even if you dont have the addon. It looks no different than if someone was using a macro or copy and paste to advertise their group. It will even spam less than most people since it can only post once a minute at most and most people repost as soon as their message goes off screen.
Ah man, the whining about non issues like this addon almost, ALMOST make you miss the weeks of layering whining.

I have no intention of speed running anything. I’m in this for the long haul. But I also don’t have time to sit in a city spamming LFG macros for hours. I’ll be a social butterfly once we get the group together and the real fun starts.
This add on does not cross realms, teleport you, give you free crap or dumb down the content to a 10 minute zerg. So I really don’t get how it destroys anything but wasted time spamming in a city. If anything, the more groups I make, the more people I meet and the better chance I have at finding a guild that fits me best.

Thats the problem, a addon that works like that shouldent be possible to work in classic, and it needs to be broken so it dosent… Thats the big issue, these people are trying to hide
