I’d love this addon for making ninja runs, end game guilds would too, in fact you’d see people getting it simply to gear themselves out at the expense of others. Who does it hurt? Blizzard. People that get ninja’d from will blame Blizzard for not stopping this. The ninjas? -They don’t care. At all. They don’t care if they even get banned AND THEY CAN’T because I know first hand, that if you accept ‘master loot’ in a group, you are allowing the leader to have control. In the end, it’s a loss for players and Blizzard.
And when the addon gets updated, the old version goes away. Amazing!
Thanks, I went and downloaded one for myself, I’m also in the process of asking my guild and friends to get it, it’ll make it so convenient for us all.

and if I don’t update the old add-on stays…even more amazing

That would be a damn tragedy.
Blizzard just needs to squash it and signal that they are at least trying to preserve the original game and the way it was played.
This addon is a straight up virus. Blizzard needs to vaccinate these fools bringing death to the doorsteps!

Loradenna…just be aware that it pigeonholes classes into 1 role regardless of spec.
A 20/31/0 pally will be labeled as TANK and nothing else.
And no one has answered my question regarding that.
If I, as a 20/31/0 pally answer to LFM Heals…will that add-on reject me because of my spec that labeled me as TANK only ?
for the auto invite part and talent tree parsing that is active

I want the whole thing banned. Once certain add-ons are allowed into the game, they become necessary.

no it cannot be created because there were no gear levels in vanilla that equate to ilvl.
Wasn’t until later expansions when gear score got created.
Yes, it can. Just uses a table with filled in values. It’s really not hard.

It’s how it effects the mentality of players and ‘social structure’ as it were.
Instead of people looking around for players in the world near Hogger; or typing it in and sometimes initiating a conversation in zone chat, it becomes a spreadsheet.
It’s like the difference between following arrows in this cold ‘whack a mole’ incredibly obviously ‘gamey’ way instead of going there by memory and actual waypoints in the world.
The main benefit of the Classic experience is BOTH of the above are FAR more amenable to emergent social interaction and exploration. It may seem hard for people to think ahead but it can actually be a good thing to NOT find a group.

Anecdotal perhaps, but my best friends by a mile in WoW were made by just wandering in WPL doing some quests, and they white messaged me to ask if I was doing the Cauldrons chain.
I’m not convinced that would’ve happened if we all coldly used the premeditated LFG tool-- with the mental process of “Look for people quest; do quest; goodbye.”
As I said before, the organic element and the human element is damaged or entirely lost. It dramatically changes the culture and how people approach forming groups.
How do I know this? Because of 15 years of World of Warcraft and how convenience is so utterly destroying to the social fabric. It seems so useful at first but the negatives become apparent very soon.
