Went through his post history, No where that I could find in the last 4 hours did he say the auto invite was removed from the custom tool, only the dungeon tool.
That was 14 minutes ago. Still can’t find anything mentioning it being removed from the custom tool.
Not sure why so many people are complaining about this addon. If you don’t want to use it don’t. It literally has no effect on you if you choose not to use it. If you feel as though you want close friends with no random people invited then simply make real friends and dont use it. However, for many of us that played in vanilla that actually have a life now I dont see the harm. This go around I probably wont have time for the hardcore raids and I like the convenience this offers for simple dungeons and such. I would imagine most raiding guilds wouldnt be using this addon due to how difficult the old raids could be… and i dont mean difficult by actual complexity but just getting 40 people to do what theyre supposed to do.
I think thats another worthy topic to note… if they banned this addon… whats next? Are simple convenience addons like ctmail mod or dbm considered cheating? Where does it stop and what are you willing to give up so the casual crowd can experience content that the more hardcore crowd will have no issue experiencing?
That’s a dumb attitude. The game makes looking for groups automated, what’s going to happen is people are gonna use it and then you’re at a severe disadvantage if you don’t.
I don’t know. I probably would not use the add on, but I don’t see it as a bad thing.
I do think though, that a lot of Classic fans have a somewhat distorted view of the “community” during Vanilla. (I mean, just read through some of the threads in this forum… even threads where it is a Classic fan versus another Classic fan.)
