I feel this exact same way at this moment so I can sympathize…
he would need to text you
I refuse to destroy everything that could be a improvement to the game because people are emotionally scared from lfd and raider io.
It isn’t it is honestly better but your dreaded auto grouped exists in the game already.
Not me brosef. Haha.
Suu, I want to thank you for making this addon. Don’t let these trolls get to you.
That’s nice.
You’re all hanging on to this fake "spirit of classic crap, 90% of the people never played it, were on hacked private servers trying to tell the world what the “spirit of classic” is
If you want to spend hours in a spammed lfg channel reading through the gold sellers, homophobic, racist, xenophobic maga spam, god bless.
No such thing as spirit of classic, not to mention you didn’t play it
it can lead to more conversation, the same conversation you would have if you used this addon in your scenario about the tank not being sure about himself, the addon does not stop him from saying the same thing to the leader.
It isn’t it is honestly better but your dreaded auto grouped exists in the game already.
You have clearly never attempted to use a vanilla era meeting stone.
But again, you dont like classic, so what do you care if we want to keep the old fashioned trade chat group formation methods intact?
Dude, are you being serious? dial it a back a ton…
If you want to spend hours in a spammed lfg channel reading through the gold sellers, homophobic, racist, xenophobic maga spam, god bless.
Apparently you didnt play it either.
I don’t want him to die. i just want his access to the internet to die.
If sharing is disabled. Lets assume it is because you disabled it, could the group leader still not ask to display spec/other info or no invite in the custom window circumventing your disabling of ability to see spec? What I’m getting at is your addon has the potential to be abused and circumvented, regardless of your intent. Add in it has an auto invite feature which helps to limit social interactions and you should be able to see why people don’t want this is Classic.
Like I said before, the devs will ultimately decide on if this is good or not. No offense to you, you seem like an alright chap, but I hope they break this addon so it can’t be used. The potential for abuse is too great.
It’s not like he doesn’t know/intend for this either.
You know I could point out all the flaws in your logic instead I am just going to wait two weeks when you get tired of spamming for groups and download the addon…
There are reasons why you can get upset by this… if it was cross realm sure but its just a group finder…
Still man, come on, there is passion , then there is , well going too far, I;d stop before you say something worse.
You’re right, most people didn’t use them because they weren’t actually convenient, if I wanted to run Strat I had to run out to Strat to click on the meeting stone, which meant I was probably missing the groups forming in IF. The point though is that even in Vanilla Blizz was trying to make it easier to get a group going and their solution included a matchmaking queue, so it’s incorrect to say it’s not in the spirit of classic.
I did play Vanilla. Social interaction was part of forming groups. Addons that automate that process remove this interaction, which is part of the “spirit” of the game.
Stop your gatekeeping.
In a video that was posted today, it shows that you can configure the addon so that you don’t even post to any chat channels and that it can limit the group finding to other addon users.
This wasn’t discussed in your interview with Esfand. You said you wanted to include people that don’t use the addon but you built features that allows the user to avoid people that don’t use the addon.
Is this another bug or just another thing you willfully glossed over?
Heh, looks like Suu is only here to answer the easy questions and not the damning ones.
Still man, come on, there is passion , then there is , well going too far, I;d stop before you say something worse.
Pissed off as I may be, it’s 2019 and I’m not a complete idiot. But I remain of the stance that I would enjoy if his computer got fried.
