There are people out there that want you to believe Blizzard is like the Big Bad Wolf that huffs and puffs and bans people without reason. These are usually the bot creators and people that hold grudges against Blizzard. I’ve investigated it myself and I can tell you that bot creators tell their “customers” what to say if they get caught and I’ve seen those posts here in this forum… word for word.
Streamers get paid for views, likes, shares, and any other interaction on their videos. Videos can be edited and altered. The easiest way to make money is to create some conspiracy theory and drama. I know of at least 3 streamers that do this and one of them was reported to make over 3 MILLION DOLLARS in one year because of the drama he creates.
Moral of the story… don’t believe everything you see on youtube or twitch, and don’t believe everything you read on reddit.

Incidentally, to the comment about YouTube from earlier, you can also find YouTube clips of people caught cheating while streaming and their defenses before things are outright confirmed are very similar to the posts we see here. Also happens to be a rather common reaction by literal thieves and assailants in various cases you can also find on YouTube (for example several years ago there was that one of two ladies trying to steal some guy’s stuff at the beach and getting indignant when caught).
All this just to support your key point that “I didn’t do anything wrong, here’s an explanation why” is a very common reaction to even the most blatant and obvious rule breaking and indeed you shouldn’t believe every claim of that on the internet.
