Help with 6month Ban

Another reason I have not used windows for several years. Been using Linux mint for several years now. Even will make a older computer run better  Plus most people target things for windows not linux.

Oh nice. Was it easy getting WoW running on Mint?

I shuffled over to MacOS years ago and refuse to put 11 on any of my systems.

Not hard at all, Able to run it using a program called crossover. Even able to run Quicken that has no linux support what so ever with out a problem. Some use what is called Lutris to try to run wow and other gaming programs. Also Steam has a lot of gaming support for linux as well, A lot of there programs have built in wine support to run.

Only thing is crossover is not a free program but if you use linux for any time frame it is must have. There are a lot of programs you can use instead of the windows version, Like there is a word version in linux. No not from Microsoft but just about a clone.

You do not own your WOW account; it doesnā€™t belong to you. Think of it this way: everything youā€™ve bought in WOW is just you renting it. Blizzard is the one that owns your account, youā€™re just using their services, Blizzard doesnā€™t have to reimburse you for anything.

Yeah and just cause it is what it is doesnā€™t mean it ainā€™t right. Is very scammy. Iā€™m just having to move on upset knowing I did nothing wrong and knowing this could still happen to me again or anyone else including you. Again thereā€™s nothing on my computer or laptop at all. No cheating, nothing.

Itā€™s the same way with any online game you play. Roblox, COD, FFXIV, you name it. Itā€™s not scamming. You technically agree to this when you first make your account.

You act as though this six month ban is permanent, itā€™s not, itā€™s just six months.

This right here is probably what it is. What kind of macros are you making, and what do they do? Using software to make macros that cannot be done in game (delays, repeats, etc) is a serious offense that is basically considered botting, and usually whatā€™s happened with an account action of this type.

if you want to talk about linux or need help send me a btag to brodie1125#1965

One question I didnā€™t see asked, Do you use your Laptop for Work from Home. Some programs that automate things for work can be a trigger for warden to pick up on as they could potentially be used in WoW.

Thank you Vorsol. Iā€™m not planning on installing a Linux in the near term, but Iā€™ll keep your offer in mind!

This literally happened to me, I got a perm ban and I got flamed for it. Thereā€™s even a YouTube video discussing the issue so I understand why you posted this I did as well but this is not the place to all you can do is continue to appeal until a real person escalates it or tells you to stop

The entire process is handled by real humans, save for the data generated that they work from. There are also tons of Youtube videos out there - made by people who make videos to make money. They have ulterior motives in wanting the clicks.

The only macro I use is random hearthstone macro I got through addon and one for camera set up.

Reddit can sometimes be reputable yes not always - thereā€™s literally a forum for WoW on there with a lot of vital information you should check it out :joy:!

Iā€™m aware. Literally.

That subreeddit is a echo chamber much like our forums, but with no moderation. Ask about that security guard Redditors doxed for something he didnā€™t do. Reddit is a reliable as 4chan

Reddit can be a very useful resource if you are looking for facts.

If you go looking into anything involving user statements or subjective matters then it is always best to take everything with the largest grain of salt there is. No one will admit fault when they get in trouble, they will always plead innocent. Why would they do anything else?

Iā€™m not saying that no one is ever actually innocent, of course that can happen, but unfortunately it turns into the boy who cried wolf scenario.

I would not trust everything posted to reddit, especially when people there have a huge habit of speeading misinformation/disinformation in regards to the policies at play with Blizzard. Yes, every appeal is reviewed by a real person. They do not use robots, they do not use AI, they do not use cats or dogs to view the logs, they use real people, and the responses are templated responses.
