Heirlooms scale to level 60, 148,000 gold to upgrade per set

Just mentioned that. Saw a thread yesterday, or day before about time warp badges for mounts, or something. You can also use them to buy heirloom tokens to upgrade looms . But of course op likes to stir up the forums with his gibberish constantly.

I do 1 timewalking dungeon on all my alts for the 500 badge quest. I don’t need anything from the vendors anymore so I just stockpile until Blizz adds something new like loom upgrades or the Legion mount that’s coming then buy it and go on with my day

I like them so I have consistent enchants for my characters, but that’s pretty much it. Can be a pretty sizeable boost to leveling through sheer numbers. Enchant scaling can be really whack especially at lower levels

Won’t even phase my bank sadly :frowning: was hoping there was another 5mil mount

Uh.

You don’t need leveling armor in Shadowlands.

The mobs scale to your Item Level.

To prove this theory true, I took a Level 59 Arms Warrior out.

She was wearing full BfA trash. Not good BfA gear, BfA trash gear, as in, leveling greens and a couple azerite blues from WQs. Her item level was, IIRC, 60-65.

She did just as good as my Fury Warrior who had quested all the way through Shadowlands and was wearing 120+.

THERE IS NO NEED FOR HEIRLOOMS WHATSOEVER.

lol. another gold sink. some things never change.

We need gold sinks, because of the absolutely ludicrous inflation.

Blizz wants to hand people 16,000 gold per week for just 15-30 minutes of questing per day and then the prices on everything go through the fricken roof, and now we need gold sinks to bring the prices back down.

ya with flying now i need to go back to doing those useless stupid dailies, just really havent felt like doing them bc of how boring they are.

I like to wait 2-3 days and build up a couple of them. Sometimes you’ll have 2 that take place in the same area… I love when “Defending ___” and “Aiding ____” come up in the same zone, simultaneously. Just do 3 world quests, and pick up 2 treasures or kill 2 rares and you finish 2 callings at once. Or when one of the two aforementioned quests come up along with a “Challenges in ____”, that works too.

EDIT: Also, the training calling can also be paired with the above mentioned callings. I’ve even, once or twice, seen all 3 in the same zone. Yay for doing 3 callings in 10-15 minutes, lol.

only one i forgot how to do is do said WQ with your trainie, i forgot how to get my trainie lol

Your trainee automatically spawns when you go to the correct zone. Simply do any world quest in that zone and you should automatically get credit, even if it’s a vehicle quest or a pet battle.

oh ok thanks lol ya like i said maybe ill start to do those dailies again. but sure as hell wont do it on alts only my main. other wise ill get sick of them again

Trust me, it is 100x better now that you have flying. What used to take half an hour only takes 10 minutes or less depending on your gear. Even lesser geared alts, I blow through them (other than the Challenges one).

But yeah I don’t do them on all my alts or even all the time, but it’s certainly better now. Also, it really helps alts’ renown levels if they are still <40.

To be fair making that much gold is ridiculously easy this xpac. Just from doing Korthia dailies and callings you could make more than that in a week on one character.

That being said once they removed the heirloom experience buff those items became pretty obsolete. Not worth spending the gold on them regardless of the price.

Especially since your item level doesn’t mean squat while you level anyhow, thanks to mobs scaling to your item level.

Even if you’re Level 59, or even Level 60, mobs will scale down to your item level, even if you’re only i60.

I have literally taken characters out at Level 59 and 60 that did pet battles and archaeology (who were still wearing BfA quest junk), and was able to do world quests just fine with them, lol.

Haha you cutie

I will think about it. I actually like getting gear upgrades as I level (and buying cheapies from the auction house) but it might be nice to have in case nothing is available.

Yeah that’s way too expensive for me as well. Although I’ll probably not going to upgrade them all at once. Probably only weapon at first.

It’s just them trying to get people to buy wow tokens

Yeah, the weapon I could understand. What item level does it end up being?

Right now, I hate trying to get weapons for fresh 60s. If you go to 60 before touching Shadowlands, you won’t get the “Aiding ____” quests that reward weapons, and weapons from WQs are very, very rare. You can buy 160 Mawsworn Weapons, but those are not always in the AH, and certain types (cough2hstrcough) are out of this world ridiculous in price a lot of times.

So I’m curious to know what I-level are the lv60 heirlooms. Might end up upgrading one or two of those just to avoid the “how the frick do I get a weapon!?” conundrum.

…what?

How did you draw a line between highly priced heirlooms and wow tokens? I don’t understand this mentality at all.

This is just another thing, same with the legendaries, that they are trying to use to force more casual players to buy wow tokens. Their focus is less on making a good game and more on how they can squeeze more money out of their player base.
