I mean, I play arguably the squishiest class in the game and I have no defensives that I can use while stunned. I have probably a 75% success rate pre-walling important stuns, because if you’re aware of what’s happening in the match, you also understand when you’re at risk of dying.
If you get stunned randomly when there’s no danger, you shouldn’t need a defensive anyway, so it doesn’t matter.
Imagine crying about ret when you play a mage. Literally walk away from them and iceblock when you need to. From a class who can kite ret 90% of the match I think it might be a L2P issue on your end.
I still see rets die when they are being trained in RSS. Do they survive longer now? yeah for sure but it was needed. What needs to be toned down are all the modifiers that cause you to be hit with multiple sources of damage in one global. Their tankyness isnt they problem… they cant move…
Plz share a screenshot of this “1 shot” with ES being 65% effective in pvp where nobody disrupted a ret, didn’t pop a defensive, or do anything to prevent them from getting a 400k ES which is literally impossible in pvp.
Again, the modifiers causing JV to hit that hard obviously need to get looked at. As well as Inquisitors with Empyrean legacy. It’s like nobody actually reads anything on here. Everyone knows all of that hitting at the same time is the issue. Overall ret isn’t doing some wild amount more of sustain damage than other classes, its just when all of those things hit in one global with all these dmg modifiers its no bueno.
Please read the death log and learn what you’re talking about before you talk about things you CLEARLY don’t understand. ES wasn’t part of that at all, but what the OP talked about is, who I agree with.
I get that you’re emotional right now, but don’t put words in my mouth lol. I never said rets weren’t overtuned, I’m just saying your example is not what was being asked for in regards to a certain talent lol.
Nobody is saying that. I asked for a specific example of something you’re stating as truth and you linked that video which isn’t what you were describing.
We all agree ret needs adjustments but you saying ES is one shotting, then linking a video which doesnt even show ES as your “proof” tells me all I need to know about your knowledge of the current situation.
Given the recent hotfix to Demo (they adjusted the base spell vs the tyrant-talent modifier that sent it overboard) and some other questionable tuning adjustments so far this expansion, I think it might be reasonable to presume that passive talents cannot be PvP-tuned.
You’re right, I was having a lot of fun playing RSS. Now we can’t play the game.
This is the equivalent of someone going “Frost mages are 1 shotting me” and I say “show me a video of frostbolt 1 shotting”… but who cares if its frostbolt?
You’re pretty spot on on the nerfs, but I think you can let Reprieve be 2% if you nerf Fading Light and Aegis of Protection since they’re the main culprit of total healing / tankiness.
I figure as much I’d even say 1.5 mins would suffice but 1 min feels laughably low for that big of a cd. I don’t want them gutted just toned down of course.
