Are you a frost mage?
So you can be a Lizard Wizard who casts Blizzard?
Let me guess. Your favorite Naxx boss is Patchwerk.
Noooo, dang I didn’t even think of that! OK, changing spec now
The toons I’m speaking of are all 80, including all six tanks, a healer and two dps and I haven’t had a problem.
We wiped once, I purposely stood in bad puddles as tank and it did a lot of damage so the group went down from there.
Again, standing in bad stuff will cause you to fail what’s wrong with that?
i liked the new fire mechanic , but had no clue about the “affix” , run it on 4 chars 0 issues
They nerfed the hell out of the fight, I do not understand the OP.
What I did watch today was a group wipe because the healer did DPS and not heal the tank, that was fun to soulstone out of.
Aye I just did one on a L10 mage, she had no problems. Not much in the way of attacks but I threw what I had and just avoided the red stuff as much as I could. Didnt die and got a level up.
Maybe its slightly easier at low level (didnt they say they were setting the level for the characters now?) or it could have been the rest of the dps and tank were strong.
Most people are just dishing it back to the OP, or falling for the trolling. iflame is aptly named since they flame the forums with incited rage in troll posts. They drop their little grenade and then sit back to watch the fallout.
As for the legitimacy of the topic: Is it possible this fight is harder for some than others? Sure. It is not last years fight. He no longer has 3 standard tank n spank phases separated by chasing down his head (which I used to think was hilarious). So yeah, people need to move a bit more, especially if they are going for the achieves with all 4 curses up at the same time.
Would that be the short chain of conical attacks the boss does? Because I’m not seeing any puddles… the boss is usually dead not long after the cones are done.
Either way, I got all the gear set pieces using my alts today; I’d probably only do more if I need more treats for the vendor items.
Aye, I forgot about the head thing (possibly due to how much of a pest it was) which makes it a lot more straightforward. Except for the red stuff, dps can pretty much stand where they are just shoot and aoe or whatever.
As for the OP, Im not familiar with them. I tend to lose track of such things but I do notice now and then when someone drops an obvious bait and then never contributes at all, which is a bit of a pointer.
Yes, and no. You’re correct the cone of stuff is something that needs avoided. I’d you accept the curses it also spawns swirls at the same time.
And finally there is an ability that forced players to spread out, something simple but if people aren’t doing they I can see why they’re frustrated
I went in thinking it would be a cakewalk to heal. Heal through mah punchies, stand in the stomp, tank would be fine, we’d walk out happy.
Dear god no lol no no nope. Gradual damage is easy but sudden 80% drops are not really cool for pugs. Especially with pugs who: don’t switch to tank specs, stand in the fire blast, have healers who are playing an alt and don’t get a lot of time in (me lol)…
well i wish there was a way to vote for it. LOL i don’t want to deal with the extra stuff. yeah i did die but was umprepared for new mechanic (also on a low lvl) . Not like anyone said “oh by the way this wont be like last year”!
As far as I am aware, its not a party thing, its just for the character that picks it.
I just did one where the tank clicked on one of them but I had no extra attacks happening.
i have no clue. I just wasnt ready for the change in the fight.
Oh neither was I but I think its for the better, personally. There i no having to switch to attack a floating head and chase it all over the places, for example. If you just avoid or shield against the red stuff, its not that bad really.
just bring a level 13 character to 1 shot the boss
Umm…I’m an open world/lfr player who’s never played a tank before three-four weeks ago when I started running guardian on this toon for delves.
I’m 506 ilevel when I swap my trickets and rings to run bear, and tanked it yesterday and today with all 4 curses w/o issue.
/shrugs.
I am definitely not the top 3% and it seems fine? I’ve done it with undergeared fresh 80s, I’ve done it with undergeared mid-70s, and I haven’t seen any problem. It’s really almost all down to ‘don’t stand in stuff’.
To be fair, I haven’t done it on under 70s yet. Once the two mid-70s I’m working on hit 80 I’ll give it a go. So, maybe it is terrible under 70? I doubt it, but I’m not going to say I know for sure yet. But yeah, don’t stand in stuff and you should be fine.
