You know, I’m beyond sick and tired of Blizzard catering to the top 3% and designing the game around their esports sweats. With that said… they literally just can’t help themselves. They changed the Headless Horseman to include new (boss) mechanics that can literally one shot any non max leveled/geared player.
It’s a dungeon event that used to be fun, especially for leveling and gearing some alts, you could run once a day… was relatively easy at all level/gear ranges. Not anymore. Do we need to use this dungeon as training “Git Gud” mechanics for raid/dungeon/delves bosses? Could we just have ONE DAMN THING that’s not subjected to that?
The simple act of designing a game to be fun is absolutely LOST on this company. And moving everything towards their end game systems is the agenda. It’s literally psychopathic and sadistic… and not fun. It’s a little holiday event dungeon, not game breaking in anyway… so why tune it that way?
So sick of this, when they take every opportunity to make things more complex and convoluted then they need to be.
I’ve run this on 5 different characters today, with the “Affix”, and have not died. You need a better team to play with. And that Affix is optional. You have to ask for it before pulling.
The large majority of the playerbase that do and have used this dungeon (for years) as a way to “help” get some extra xp and possible gear as they level alts. Or even players that might be using it to practice healing/tanking/dps in a low-pressure situation.
Now that will be much harder to do and less likely to happen for those. And I assure you there are more of those players than 2800 io streamers. Blizzards bad behaviors defended as usual. Not surprised.
Old HH couldn’t help you practice anything. A target dummy was more interactive than that fight that just got blown up in 20 seconds.
The idea that anyone would need to even know what io was to be able to do this fight is laughable.
Id be pretty concerned if the idea that different people like different things surprised anyone old enough to play wow. I personally like the new version. A holiday event where I spend longer in queue as a tank than the event takes is dumb.
When you come through the door, to your left are 5 wickerman totems. Having all curses active and defeating the HH (which is WAY too easy if you keep moving) gives you 3 new achievements.
I am not surprised, they make the Greench harder every year too. I will have to try this to see what is going on lately, I haven’t participated in HH in a few years.
Could be he is op for 80, will find out and report back.
Seem to remember having to move around a bit , to avoid an attack, this wasn’t a tank and spank boss as I recall.
The last time I played this you had to dps his missing head and somebody said they nerfed that , so it cant be that bad.
I was healing on an alt… and some dps went from 90% health to dead in about 0.6 seconds. From the blast radius that has pie slices of safe spots. And then half of us lost nearly half our health in about 1 second of fire on the floor.
Insanely overtuned and typical punishing end game mechanics on a Holiday dungeon.
It’s not necessary.
Typical tactic here is to attack and assume instead of logically look at the bigger picture and greater agenda at play.
you’re thinking too much about meaningless pixels man. if you struggle with the content, don’t do it. if you don’t like the content, don’t do it. if you are too weak for the content, wait until you are stronger.
Should I need a guild group of 2k+ io players to do a 2 minute Holiday dungeon?
Like it’s a damn +12 key?
Really?
You actually just made my point. This Holiday dungeon should be able to be done fairly easily with a group of “bad” pugs. Why is everything so overtuned and complex? Does every little thing need to be this way?
Again, most people miss the point. Please go watch Bellular’s latest video. How about we hold the people responsible for making the game worse and inconsistent, instead of better and stop shooting the messenger?
The Devs are clueless and the class tuning with constant buffs/nerfs and talent changes PROVE that fact. They literally don’t do their job well and it affects every aspect of the game. Including down to the Holiday dungeon.
