Basically a guy broke a subreddit rule, had his post removed, posted a screenshot about it and posted on r/FML on how “ironic” it was that his post was deleted.
My sister just asked me about Classic.
Now she’s going to be playing a priest. My dad is going to be a warrior. I can be whatever but will be flipping between warlock and warrior most likely. No clue what my brother will be up to… and just when I thought we were just so close to a full group, my sis informs that one of her friends will play too.
I love/hate my job.
I just finished my big website cleanup task that I had another two weeks to do, my new boss is incredibly enthused with my output, and my overall role has organically shifted from being a glorified secretary to being a mix of an advisor/pseudo tech support.
It’s actually kind of fun now. I’m allowed to sit on meetings, and, apparently, my suggestions are pretty good.
The downside, though, is that I have an unbelievable amount of free time. I feel genuinely bad and that I should be doing more, but I can’t keep asking my boss “anything you would like me to tackle?”
It even has my upcoming raise feel “unearned” even though I can honestly say that I pour honest effort into any task given to me here.
But nevertheless, even though Fridays are already typically slow, I’ve run out of things to do only two and a half hours into my shift.
So, my Dad talked me into starting to play Classic on Day Two instead of Day Four like I originally planned.
The queue hasn’t been an issue for us, because we kept playing during odd hours. We’ve gotten in about 5 hours’ worth of playtime together the past few days (I came home late nearly every night this week. It was killer at work).
It’s been an absolute blast!! I’ve forgotten about things I never knew I forgot about. The wildest thing (to me) is all the changes in keyboard shortcuts! Like, the guild tab used to be opened by O in Vanilla and not by J…
I’m still enjoying retail, but it’s been incredibly interesting and fascinating to have the two versions juxtaposed next to each other — you can really see how much WoW has changed in 15 years.
Besides, retail is currently going through a bit of a lull period, so that means I just have more of an excuse to play Classic.
…yes, my guildies and I recreated our guild in Classic. Original Thunder Bluff Assassins was created on September 13, 2005. It would be amiss to not to have the guild on Classic as well.
I may be… well researched… for the classic release. I’m kind of auto piloting these early levels, but I think I’ll play around with boars for as long as I can this time.
I think I’ll practice micro-ing it so that I can use it as a pocket root.
My sister will be healer, my dad will (probably have to) tank, my brother wants to be filler for whatever we need more of, I’ll be a warlock to be sort of insurance for the group… Too bad my mom won’t play any game beyond poker or tetris.
The hardest part was having him install the game because somehow he not only didn’t get the battle net launcher, but he managed to install battle for azeroth without it and then open the game.
EVENTUALLY we got it all sorted out but watching my dad play is just. So entertaining.
