“I will bid 15 stones of Jordan for that item” essentially.

If you are already working in a system restricting trade and AH use I have zero issues with people using their professions to stay alive. Also the sheer rage they induce in some people for absolutely zero reason other than jealousy is almost sustaining to me.

what about when you work six jobs, have eleven kids and have to cook/clean/sleep sometime but you need that gear/consumes/mount??!?!

I would ask of this person,
“my brother, why have you not fully integrated yourself into a man/machine interface to more efficiently use your time?”

Even my Compaq has a VGA plug in, just make it work.

Anyone DUMB enough to trade Real Money for Gold in game at the risk of losing it all makes this Thread a Moot point.

there’s always an excuse/justification
Ban them all.

Honestly had blizzard not just defaulted to being reactive and relying on player reports to get anything done we may have not ended up in as bad a spot.

“we can’t do anything if it’s not reported” is lazy. Just ban gold buyers, I am not part of the dev/mod/bro teams for blizzard but I can’t imagine having a program to pop up alerts when Timmy the level 15 Gnome opens a letter from AILAIWBNFP with 25k in it and mark it suspicious would be that hard to set up.

The Answer to this is VERY SIMPLE

BLIZZARD dont have enough resources on this to make major changes. Changes that have already been done in later patches or expansions that can be tweeked maybe but they certainly arnt doing major dev work on this server which will likely die in 4-5 months.

Second to this… i agree bots and gold selling will be there. 100% it will. They havent tackled gold selling on any of there expansions… why start here?

Play the game as they give it. Its all you can do.

Imagine going out driving and seeing other drivers and being upset they are not driving how you want them to.

There are inconsiderate people in the world. Even amongst joggers. I imagine there are joggers who would annoy me if I took up jogging - like a guy who swerves, or changes speeds, or runs with a dog.

Because bots make blizzard profit in the short-term.

i should be allowed to resurrect on HC servers because “people shouldn’t be telling me how to play”

just kidding, the “challenge” is so laughably easy now because of Blizzard. the only real danger is DC

If you want to res just use the addon

These two statements contradict themselves…

There is nothing wrong with playing the game as it was intended, the only difference is if you die, you can’t res, your gold/gear, ect is gone, unless you transfer therefor removing it from the server ecosystem. Regardless of “safe routes” bots will die, they easily do and its easy to force their pulls to aggro more and kill them. i dont see bots being successful here and i dont see trading/ah being an issue in a system where everyone is on the same 1 life playing field…

This is a concern, no doubt. AH should be disabled for anyone below lvl 45 imo.

Naw man
Kids (the under lvl 45 crowd) should be able to play the AH to get their mount money or whatever they need for profs if they wish.

You don’t want to use the AH till 45? Knock yourself out with that challenge. It sounds fun and if I play official hc then I just might be limiting myself to barter only. No AH at all ever. I did suggest it (barter only as well as the ability removed to mail or trade gold) before Blizz published their rules but I’m fine with what they determined.
