HC PvP Server PLEASE

if you are sincerely advocating for a PvP Realm, you will /sign my “petition” thread: Petition for a Hardcore PvP Realm

I’ve not contradicted anything. I love pvp servers, I love griefing on pvp servers, I would love to grief on a HC pvp server, I know certainly a HC pvp server would have a functional life span of 2 weeks, and I know blizzard will never make one.

I mean - you must be speaking loosely because there is a distinction, strictly speaking, between “griefing” and “consensual PvP.”

I’m sure this will be as successful as the 1100 threads begging for them to bring cloning back or to put rdf into wotlk classic.

We got classic because nostalrius showed there was a market for it, not because of forum whining. We got HC because the HC addon people showed there was a market for it, not because of forum whining.

Get some pserver nerds to make a working HC pvp server as proof of concept and maybe you’ll have a shot.

It’s called Whitemane and the Insane in the Membrane achievement that was part of the popular HC-Addon.

I mean I guess you can pretend killing and camping greys is not griefing if it makes you feel good about yourself.

My favorite with a rogue is to kill them, and when they rez let them look around nervously thinking you are still around, cautiously kill a mob, get some confidence, kill another one, then another, then you gank again and let the mob hit them last so they take the durability hit.

Yeah most people go to dead servers to cheese that one.

Lol, I feel like you’re arguing with zombies who don’t understand reality.

You know you’re on the logically correct side when you have insulting comments like that >_>

Lol. :clown_face:/10

Tell yourself whatever you need to tell yourself to feel better about your idiotic take.

I think this would be interesting and fun to try. It absolutely must have grief protection from higher levels.

There is nothing wrong with that gameplay on a hardcore server. You wouldn’t be able to grief the low player by camping them, and when you got got, that would be it. You’d have to roll over again as well, fair is fair.

The reason you can do this on a PVP server without hardcore is because there is no lasting consequences. On hardcore you would get ganked in turn. If you choose to risk your high level character on low level grief that is your choice, there used to be a defense channel and appeals to high levels for help that would only be faster and with more finality on a a hardcore server.

I stopped addressing your comments because you asked me to but then you comment at me again. You are not contributing in any meaningful way to the conversation. If you don’t like the idea of hardcore pvp at least construct a substantial argument with any validity outside of your opinion and an echo chamber. It is ironic that you are accusing others of the behavior you continually exhibit.

I honestly think that a HC PvP server is one of the worst ideas ever.
But down the line, Blizz is maybe going to give SSF and IronMan and maybe other HC challenges their own server, so why not throw in a PvP HC server?
I wont play there even if I got paid to do so, but I always maintain that people should be allowed to play how they like as long as they let me do the same.
So you have my vote: Give HC PVP server as well!

No you wouldn’t ,the first tier of gankers would prevent any meaningful opposition from getting high enough to challenge them. Unless you were in the initial nolife rush, it would be a waste of time.

Yeah, there has always been one. It’s never used. The high levels would bee too busy ganking their low levels anyway.

Anyways, moot point, Blizzard ain’t doing it.

They aren’t. They intimated they might do a SSF buff like Soul of Iron. They are not going to fragment the HC player base into even smaller sub-servers.

If the SFF crew get it their way, there will be. Why not figth for both instead of dousing ideas.
Splitting the player base is a non-argument in something like the HC realms. which is mostly solo no matter what.

Whining on internet forums is not fighting. The addon andy’s will not get their way, and blizzard isn’t going to spend resources giving every group of crybabies their own custom sub-sub-ruleset. SSF is especially dumb to have it’s own server since by definition the existence of non SSF people is irrelevant, if they have a buff they can identify each other - literally no problem.

This would be in from launch of the HC realms.

The Soul of Iron system does not yet currently exist on Hardcore realms. We intend to port this system over Hardcore ruleset realms prior to their launch, with a few adjustments.

I was speaking of later.

It is the only thing we can do - and whining here made us keep one EU RP seerver.

Yes, I was speaking of them doing a “SSF buff like Soul of Iron”, as in a similar buff but SSF. They intimated they may in an interview. That would solve the addon andy’s crying.

Big difference between keeping a thing that already exists and hard coding a new ruleset to appease a subset of a subset of the population.

The only two times wow has made a new ruleset like this is when the population already did it on their own as a proof of concept - when nostalrius and pseervers proved people would play classic, and when the addon folks proved people would play hardcore.

If the pvpers want a hardcore pvp server then they need to do their own version first to prove to blizzard it is a good use of their resources.
