Save your gold and dont buy BOEs or +3 agil gems from the Auction House. Run Siege of Orgrimmar for socket gear and go to PVP vendor to purchase +3 agil gems with mark of honors (1:1 ratio). Good luck to you brothers and sisters!

SoO heirlooms and mechagon trinket were probably the best and cheapest way for me to get this done.

I’m sick of it! For all the "Get guud"Trollers, Don’t worry I won’t care about it or you at the end of my life. There is no value to this for a middle of the road player especially since the programmers are so out of touch, they don’t realize our leech was nerfed into the toilet and there were no diminishing returns to CC and Stuns when the MT was created. Plus, the health pots were on a 2 min timer not 5 min. I guarantee they did not compensate for these nerfs.

Welcome to catering to the “elites”.

There certainly should be an elite level of play and reward system, I have never minded that. However, a pathetic reward of a re-color of an old transmog that Blizzard put no real effort into is not it.

Just wanted to re-highlight this point. The double Crusader enchant is still a really solid choice. It might be a little overkill sometimes on healing, but I use double crusader + demonic appetite talent. Essentially doubles your overall healing and makes mistakes a lot more forgiving.

You will need ilvl 50 or lower weapons to use it. I bought 2 ilvl 49 greens (no ilvl 50’s available) and threw the enchants on there, and unless I royally screw up in p1, I can much more comfortably get through p1.

During the intermission phase, I swap talents and weapons back to my higher iLvl weapons. Even though there’s only a +1 ilvl difference, it is more weapon damage + agi, and your main weapons should have better enchants for dps.

Still working on p2 over here, but I’ll get it down soon!

I can’t live through P1 at all. I did this in Legion and man this feels insane.

The guide videos don’t say much else that I’m not already doing, but I keep getting wrecked even through stuns, interupts, etc.

I was struggling with survival in phase 1, until I saw the comment about using the Crusader enchant. Not sure if you’ve tried that yet? I quoted my post above. Outside of me just royally screwing up and running into a shadow ball or not positioning myself in the middle of the room before he summons the clones, I can consistently get to p2 now. I’d recommend making this change if survivability is your struggle.

Also using the talent where your immolation aura makes your next dash do 500% more damage. If you have that up for each time you dash out of his ice prison, it heals you for so much since you kill the ice.

I would if I had other weapons. I hear the dps check is crazy tight in P2, so I’m trying to make sure I have dps for that - on top of the fact that I’m trying to save gold for all the repair costs in the first place.

I just bought a couple of green iLvl 49’s off the AH for like 2k each. The Crusader enchant requires iLvl 50 or lower. When the transition to phase 2 happens, I swap to my main weapons to help meet the DPS check. If you’re on a relatively populated server, it shouldn’t be too expensive.

If you’re struggling with survival, this will definitely help. You might have to invest a little bit into your character to get the challenge done - it’s a pretty unforgiving fight right now. Plenty of people have done it without Crusader I’m sure, but it leaves very little room for error. This is just one method to help you increase your survival and lower your repair bills in the long run anyway (and save some sanity!)

Anyway, just pitching an idea.

Oh that’s actually really good to know all around. I didn’t realize the weapons had to be below 50.

Definitely appreciate the ideas and feedback. <3

Alternatively if you have low level alts and you use heirlooms send them the weapons + chants, have them enchant and then send the weapons back. For those that have them Siege heirlooms are by far ahead of all other weapons.

Haven’t gotten to p2 yet on dh but I did clear this on arms. If you’re struggling in p2, start the boss in the middle, very middle on top of the iris. When first adds come out run away kill them then drag him around the edge. Basically gives u a full add phase for free. The pool won’t go all the way to the edge

So just finished the Mage Tower. Biggest thing holding me back was not prioritizing stats on gear to the extreme. Removed every ounce of crit and mastery I could.
Finally had 28% haste and 14% vers.
At that point I no longer needed crusader on my weapons. I was hitting fast enough to spawn soul fragments at a pretty good rate.

Can someone help me with the rotation on P2? Am I supposed to hold eye beam and Glaive Tempest for adds, or do I use one/two of them inbetween each add cast? I have no clue what the cooldown for the adds are. Also I’m having an issue killing the adds before they reach the Creeping shadows and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. When they spawn I immolate, glaive throw, chaos nova, eye beam, glaive tempest, glaive throw, and then try death sweep kill. Sometimes it doesn’t finish them off. Am I missing something?

I used the Ravaged Seed Pod trinket on the adds. I’d hit the trinket and Immo Aura about 1 second before the adds spawned then hit Chaos Nova to stun them in the AOE, Glaive Tempest, Eye Beam. Usually that would take care of them but I’d toss out a Glaive to slow them if Eye Beam wasnt off cd yet.

As far as saving cd’s only if it was 5-7 seconds before the add phase would begin. For me I definitely needed the dps from Eye Beam, Immo Aura, Glaive Tempest on the main boss as well.

How do you know when add phase is about to begin? His Mana was always at 100% and I didn’t see any type of sound or animation indicator aside from when he actually started the cast

It’s about 1 minute. I just used the CD on my Seed Pod trinket( 1 min cd) to gauge when adds were about to spawn, lol. I knew when the trinket cd was down to about 12-15 seconds I needed to start figuring out my dps CD situation. Of course that only works after the 1st set of adds have spawned. For me that usually happened at about 85-87%.

There may be a boss mods addon for it I’m not sure.

I used trinket on adds as you suggested and boss was still 32% hp after I killed 3rd set. I don’t know what to do anymore :frowning:

Go into Underot get the Crawg Tusks, free damage

What trinket an why did you use it on the adds? Just stun them, Eye Beam, Throw Glaive, and Unbound them, theyll have low enough health to just chaos strike them
