Those frostbolts are tearing me up and with our horrible leech, it’s hard to even get past the first phase

Farthest I’ve gotten is the 2nd intermission but I cant even get to the 1st intermission reliably.
It is like they squished us down to Legion levels then squished us further with all the nerfs they gave us. I can survive two of those frost shards and then his ice bolts wreck me.

I’ve gotten him to 24% for lowest attempt ( with use of drums and raid castle tank trinket ( alar one ) and a health pot with health flask

2nd intermission is as far as I have been able to make it so far. I think I’m like 40ish attempts in, based off the amount of runes I’ve used from my inventory. D:
The fight and the mechanics itself isnt hard its just that he Xylem hits hard AF.

It’s ridiculous as havoc. Your self heals is nothing. It’s much easier even as survival hunter since your pet tanks it all

Our self heal is garbage because our Leech is garbage. Right now its either Spec into Demonic Appetite or good luck trying to reach Phase 2 with out dying to Frostbolt
It is a miserable experience so far. I get Xylem to the second intermission consistently but even with a health potion and incap/stun/kicking as much as I can, I still die. The leech doesn’t help. I don’t know what else I expected, I guess. Not easy, but not this difficult.
I am up to 70ish attempts now between 2 dh’s. I’ve tried multiple builds and trinkets. Think I’ll call it a night and try again tomorrow. Congratz to all the dh’s who get their tmog and achievements though!

I can get him to demon phase every time, but I just can’t find the dps to kill him before the platform fills up. It’s a rip too, you spend like 10 min every attempt. Idk how Dratnos had the dps with his dh using zero TW gear, like he legit hacked or a gm buffed him up on stream.

Why is the TW gear better than SL? Isnt everything scaled?
Mostly due to them having sockets.
The Fight is disgustingly overturned nerf it. I don’t care that I already have the armor.

Getting smacked by his Frost bolts…
Using every disruption to stop him casting, and still getting wrecked by his Frostbolts. Once Meta ends I’m toast…
It is definitely hard. There is no room for error. I Disrupt, Imprison, Chaos Nova, Fel Eruption and use Meta’s stun to interrupt him. I use Blur, Darkness or a healing potion when I can’t do any of those, and it still doesn’t feel like enough. Just going to keep trying until I get it, but the last minute buffs to Xylem are hurting for sure.
I just beat it and there’s nearly 0 room for error as well as variance in how the encounter plays out. Xylem is not consistent. He’ll sometimes move right away after being interrupted and sometimes just stand still, making the next intermission potentially harder to deal with if you can’t get him to the middle to start. How many casts he does before going into the shadow orb phase to give you downtime also seems random to me but I don’t know for sure about that.
The 2nd phase with the demon is more of a DPS check than anything.
