Havoc DH continues to be trash

ye well fine isnt good enough in dragonflight

u have to be at least “good” to be playable

like resto shaman is for example

disc priest is (was? didnt check reset atonement buff out yet) also fine, but all other healer specs are “good” so it makes it sub par and unplayable by default

or at least be niche

like mm hunter is generally kinda bad but can be very niche and op with a sub rogue

dh isnt niche its just another melee that isnt a warrior or a ww monk or a ret paladin or a rogue or a dk coz theyre all good or op

give 1 good reason to play dh over any other melee spec

Just to curb any future disappointment, you can bump a thread for literal years and nothing will necessarily come of it.

sin rogue says hi

ngl, this seems like they were stacking on a small bridge and lost to a good root/beam go.

why do you think cdew is oom and coreygunz isn’t

Must of been that mana rift.

nfn, that talent needs to make a come back.

I’ve definitely seen DH take over the lobby a few times while doing some pretty nutty damage and bringing some decent CC/utility. I also don’t understand being mad you have to pre-use defensives. Almost every defensive works that way. DH actually has more defensive options than most with nether walk, blur, passive healing/magic dmg reduction, the flying crap, darkness and others I’m sure I’m forgetting.

I feel like nerfs to over performing classes is the move, not buffing DH to busted levels like S1.

iirc, the dev stated our magic damage reduction from tattoos and talents do not stack.

If you spec netherwalk you lose out on most of your damage talents ie: burning wounds and growing inferno.

Flying is cool and all but it’s basically a self root and only good into certain double melee comps as some of them can just kill you in the air.

The passive healing only works if you’re actually hitting something and not, you know, sitting undispellable roots, cc chains, and clones.

Darkness has a 50% chance to do absolutely nothing and most of the that 50% is 100% of the time.

Edit: Why is no one linking the clips where they are losing and the evoker healer doing more damage than the dh?

I dunno man. I had a lobby earlier where a havoc -deleted- a warrior in the first go while I was trapping the healer and offering little damage. I think he had like 1.7 mil in a 15 second round or something insane. Everyone else had like 300-400k.

Not saying I see it all the time, but I definitely have to respect havoc’s damage when fighting it and they’re not always the clear kill target.

That uhh… legit sounds like warrior didn’t use defensives or trinket.

It could be an outlier, but I just know when I see a hav on the other team often their teammate becomes the focus. There are classes that definitely need more defensive help (hunter).

Hunter literally proves the issue dhs have where we’re sitting roots for days and getting clapped by pets hitting harder than our death sweep or eating arrows from miles away.

Dh definitely needs some defensive help: blade dance dodge making a come back is one.

ALL our magic damage reduction actually stacking not just taking the highest one being the talent or tattoos – I’m STILL trying to figure this one out as to why they do not stack.

Agree to disagree. I feel as though most would say hunter defensives need a boost before they make DH tankier. Kiting just doesn’t cut it anymore with all the ranged melee and insane mobility.

My ranged dots aren’t doing a thing to hunters, or anyone else for that matter, while I’m sitting roots.

Hunters don’t have any issues against dh, even if they mess up.

If only momentum gave dhs the ability to ignore roots and snares when it’s up – then people could legit complain about our mobility and up time on target.

Again I disagree. DH mobility is off the charts. I do have some ability to kite/root, but if you’re ever the target or have a paladin (which is super common right now) those roots are worthless. One stun and I can get globaled.

Trinket. dispel, feign and pet sac and turtle all exist – so does exhilaration.

Every half decent defensive has a 3 min cd and exhil heals for like 100k. Feign is decent, but also only gives damage reduc for 1.5 seconds. You’re not going to find many that say demon hunter defensives are worse than hunters lol

brother, my point is you can control yours – most of ours are rng.

If you can’t hit you do no healing, same for if there’s no demon procs, again rng.

If you use darkness you pray that you get the 50% chance for it to work every attack and that you are not knocked out of it and just wasted a 5/3 min cd depending on how you spec.
