Having to switch between static and dynamic flight is a pain in the back side!

Never thought I’d see someone label the intended use of Druid Flightform as Degenerative Gameplay. :upside_down_face:

I didn’t know Blizzard intended for Flight Form back in The Burning Crusade to be used in conjunction with Dragonriding, which didn’t come out until nearly two decades later. Man, they really do plan years and years ahead! Obligatory /s.

If Blizzard intended Flight Form to be used as it is now in Dragonflight, then they would’ve kept it. But they didn’t. End of story.

Opinion.

I’ll say “no” to that suggestion. Leave the OPTION for both.

I use old flying and sky riding about 50/50 for my own reasons that I don’t need to justify to anyone. Game is better with both.

I haven’t played the beta, but I’m certain a 5-second cast to switch modes won’t bother me as much as removing old school flying altogether.

It’s already known that a vulpera vote is worth 6 void elf votes, so fight me

Dynamic vs Static flying should be able to be selected on a per-Mount basis.

according to whom?

I’m seeing a trend. Blue Profiles want their TBC flying, Red Profiles love their Skyriding.

Funny observation.

How often are you really going to switch? 99% of the time youll use dynamic to get somewhere. The 1% is if you need to be specific on where you need to go, like a treasure in a tree or something.

If dynamic to flightform were degenerative gameplay, they would have done the same for static to flightform. Both end in the same result. The change is about slowing down gameplay. Not preventing exploitation of the intended game design.

exactly.

which is why it should be able to be chosen on a per mount basis, instead of a 5 second cast to switch.

the 1% of the time you need Static Flying, you should just be able to pull a designated mount for it immediately.

Apples and oranges. Flight Form is the same as static flight, just without a cast time. Dynamic flight is on average three times faster than static flight, thus the degenerative gameplay of using dynamic flight for speed then instantly shifting to static flight. This has only been possible in a single major patch and is being removed in the next. It’s specifically to prevent an unintended consequence. Continue with your cope session, however. This safeguard against bad game design is coming regardless of your moaning and whining, and it will be healthier for the game. Praise be to the Titans! I understand why you have your profile hidden now as your takes are consistently terribad, and therefore that is my cue to abandon you to the Void where you will never been seen again. Cheers!

That’s what you think. I don’t trust anyone who snorts void for a living.

I do not consider Static flight inferior at all I feel it is superior in every way except speed! That is why I only use it for going long distances nothing else unless a quest requires it! As to the 5-second cast, currently, it is a 1.5-second cast to switch mounts it should be no more than that at worst and instant at best to switch flight styles as it will still require a 1.5-second cast to remount after you change!

I don’t think that someone expressing their opinions is morning and complaining any more than YOUR opinions are morning and complaining!

and at least most in here have a legit reason their talking about…that guy and others are just here to whine ABOUT whining lol
Trolling waste of time.

Blizzard: “Here, options! You can have dragonriding mounts and regular mounts!”
Players: “I want dragonriding on ALL my mounts!”

Blizzard: “OKay, here’s dragonriding on all your mounts!”
Players: “NO, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SWITCH TO OLD FLYING”

Blizzard: “okay… Here’s an option to switch between them. For free. Whenever you like”
Players: “FIVE SECONDS IS TOO LONG”

More and more trivial complaints get traction here
No wonder the devs don’t look at forums
