I am as well. It would help to relieve the perceived “imbalances” as well as make the BG enjoyable again, like an open world zone, as it was intended to be in the beginning. Of course our friend Zyrius is going to push back on that idea, each and every time, virtually the only one to prefer 1.12. He will argue up and down that 1.12 is the “better version” solely because blizzard made changes to it from the early versions, and that older AV was not “popular” (whatever the hell that means). He will also constantly attempt to draw a false equivalence of the retail atmosphere, classes, and the environment of rushing to get a new retail mount, to classic vanilla. Alluding to “same issues” without actually clarifying what those “same issues” are.
And lest we forget that back in the day he flat out admitted that he was simply trolling those who wanted early AV, because he was not getting his prefered druid changes.
I’m totally fine with them offering an earlier version as an option, I think you would find out that it doesn’t automatically fix anything the way you want though.
Then why only “as an option”? You claim it would be able to be a race, so it cannot be a duration issue. It surely cannot be a “too much PVE” issue, as again, you believe it can easily be a race. What is it about the earlier version is it that you push back on, only accepting it as an “option”?
And what “things” are they, specifically, and what “way” do I want them fixed?
The problem… is the spawn points… plain and simple. They favor the horde and that is that. In every scenario the horde have it easier. If we take IBGY the horde res back at their cave 5 seconds away … if we die we have to run a full minute back from shgy. even if we took sf gy the amount of time it takes to just get down the stupid mountain is almost the same to the amount of time it takes you to get from your cave spawn to ibgy. It’s broken. That’s the point… Nothing else matters… all the other QQ is just bluster pointlessness.
The most legendary denial of facts, reality, and literally thousands of posts explaining the problems at IBGY I’ve ever seen, and ever will see. Honestly I’m not sure if I should flag you or congratulate you.
Did you keep a straight face while typing that? I mean this is coming from a horde player who only has to capture one gy to effectively shut alliance down. Talk about easy.
Imagine having to simultaneously take SHGY and hold IBGY instead of soft capping SHGY and using the cave rez to recap IBGY - easy mode.
Through out almost two deacades of playing this game the one thing that can be counted on is that Alliance will complain about nothing at the drop of a hat, and are always dropping the hat themselves.
If it’s AV …
Or It’s the bs with High Elves that droned on for months
Almost of all of you have opted out of actually playing the game and instead just whine about non-eixistant problems then blame Blizz ‘bias’ for your own self created problems.
Get real. Both faction complain. Horde have more years logged complaining about AV than alliance. Players of both factions complain. The fact that you are making this a faction issue is why you’re incapable of seeing the map issues.
This is the last post I’m going to reply to you. Because you’re a troll, you point out what you want but you don’t read the rest… the POINT was that you have a 10 second run to IB and we have a 1 minute run from SH if we die at IB trying to hold it. Holding IB without getting pinched between the horde forces already at sf/sh and those who res at their cave after dying is next to impossible. But you don’t care so why am i even typing this… ? bah… now you’ve annoyed me.
I am with with the current version of AV which is fine.
The problem exists only in the minds of Alliance players who basically liked quick 6 minute victories then checked out when Horde countered your strats. This is not a Blizz problem, not a ‘map’ problem’ but an Alliance attitude problem
