Title,
I have two empty guild banks, neither GM has received mail with any items returned or a notice of “we’re done, sorry all of your stuff was lost”.
It’s been a month since the blue post in general stating the process is on going. So, on going, or done?
I think we’re past “soon”. If you didn’t receive anything, you probably never will.
Join the conversation in the GD thread. There isn’t much that can be said here that will matter, and at some point this topic will be closed. Blizzard is adamant the discussion needs to focus in that topic.
I’m there, been there from the start, and can’t get a straight answer. I was also a part of the bug report post that was a month old before the one you referred went up.
So I figured I’d ask here, you know “Customer Support”.
But we’re only players, we don’t have any insight into coding or developer decisions, unfortunately. The SFAs can only pass on information the devs deem appropriate to share.
We can only direct you to where you need to go for greatest impact.
No, it’s just folks not being able to, frankly, accept that the recovery is done and not able to do more. Other people came here with the same question and was pointed at the general thread.
The blues here don’t have hidden information, just waiting for someone to post about it to bring it to light. If there’s any info, they’d find out the same time players do when they get posted.
The problem is, the issue isn’t resolved, no restoration was done, and its apparent Blizzard wants nothing more than to sweep it under the rug and let tens of thousands of players suffer and be punished for a game error they’re the victims of.
Stuffing everyone into a giant echo chamber in the general forums to burn themselves out doesn’t fix anything, and is honestly a really horrible way to treat your customers.
Just to be blunt on the matter - they can’t fix it to what a given person wants. They can do so much before they call it a day. Trying to nag them or act like they’re hiding info from the players isn’t useful. Trying to ask for something that was posted already isn’t useful.
We get it, it’s upsetting, but there isn’t more they can do. Trying to nag them to do it won’t make them magically recover more then they already have.
Then they couldn’t recover the data. The last update that the blue in the thread gave that the issue is fixed and sent the items they found. If the guild leader didn’t get anything, then they couldn’t find anything.
Bliz overtly said that it wouldn’t be possible, as in impossible, to restore everything for everyone. Those who didn’t have everything restored certainly can consider their specific situation not resolved; however, nothing more can be done. Unresolved is the final state.
Thus, it’s neither “apparent” that they are doing anything you claim, nor is it treating anyone horribly. There simply is no alternative to the situation. What Bliz is/was able to verify as missing is being/was returned, that which is not verifiable will not. It’s not possible to restore something when it’s not known what it is. So as above, unresolved is the final state.
