And you are ignoring why the good players have left AV. They left because the horde map advantage gives them a very low chance of winning when horde play scorched earth.
Clearly you were never a part of the zerg groups, because that is literally not true. zerg groups don’t ride past the horde. They pick them off piece meal and continue on their merry way as a group. You should try it sometime. Oh wait, you can’t because only 10 of you will actually try.
This is complete trash and you know it. They left because they could not maintain HPH without a premade specifically because they couldn’t win in under 10 minutes. It is all about speed on the side with instant queues and AV doesn’t cut it Alliance side.
And all those reasons ultimately come down to the map advantage horde have which allows them to play scorched earth. If alliance were getting a decent win rate in AV like they can in WSG and AB they would happily queue for it if for no other reason than to avoid premades.
The biggest factor for the win rates in AV isn’t the map, it’s how the players approach the game.
Allies treat it as an instant que pve rep farm.
Horde treat it as a war scale pvp match that they do everything in their power to maximize because of long que times.
Alliance regularly hurt their own win conditions for more rep. As an example, holding the druids.
No. They don’t. They have everything to do with the fact that it is harder to zerg without a premade group. If it takes 30 minutes to win, you have done worse than if you were in AB / WSG winning 4-5 games.
i was part of the zerg groups… they only worked when horde also ran past any kind of actual horde resistance stopped them cold. Which is what started happening when the premades were removed.
Not really, there are several metas for how AV plays out.
Both sides can zerg, resulting in a ~50% win rate and good honor rep for both factions and short games.
Both sides can play mixed offense/defense, resulting in a ~50% win rate and decent honor/rep for both factions and longer games.
Horde can play scorched earth, resulting in a 90+% win rate for horde and long games with bad honor and rep only by holding the druids.
Horde completely control option three and alliance have little counter to it. Shockingly when horde are picking option three alliance don’t want to queue for it beyond the minimums for rep.
Funny, i was part of the group that tried to deny this. The good zergs stopped as a group and slaughtered us. The bad ones tried to run past. Keep talking though. Sounds like you were in the bad ones…
Yep. They lost it. But removing the cave respawn would have been enough for us to lose for sure. They flat railed us early. Remove cave, that group wins. Now they are going to SFGY. Guessing they are going to get that too.
And now horde is doing the “you do this no you do that” thing. This is real time how Alliance should win…
Allies have basically instant ques for AV, WSG, AB. Which led to the issue of giving up in AV if a fast win isn’t possible due to time invested vs reward.
This caused all the good players alliance side to move to AB and WSG for their honor farm. Leaving bad players or rep focused players for AV. Which results in them being focused on rep or giving up fast because they see a regular event of their own teammates intentionally hurting their win conditions because rep>win in the mind set of even 5 players basically makes the game a 35v40, and that is the true “map imbalance”
It’s not the design of the map, it’s the player mindset caus d by instant que times vs 2+ hour que times.
I’m not trying to say the map is perfectly balanced, but it doesn’t have nearly the effect on win percentage than what you seem to think.
Other regions see at most a 40/60 split in win/loss for alliance. So while the map itself might give horde about 10% more wins, the massive losses America alliance see in AV is 100% a player born issue. Not the map.
Apparently horde in asia are not playing scorched earth, presumable they are smart enough to realize if they do they’ll end up with massive queues just like horde in other regions are.
“smart enough” now your trying to Blame horde for your team not strategizing and actually TRYING to win…
When will you learn to take responsibility for your faults and learn to grow? It can’t always be someone else’s fault things don’t go your way… Just saying.
Alliance don’t try in 99% of AV in America. And it’s the hordes fault… Got it.
