Hardware ban When?

This could also be because the demand is dropping as people are unsubbing, not necessarily because bots are increasing.

or someone posting 20 k heavy callous leather every 24 hours making price drop from 1.4 k to 800 g, anyways subs are droping hard cuz theres nothing to do and its understandable but the botting situation is getting out of hand .

So prices are changing to something reasonable for players to purchase? Oh, the horror…

buddy thats also 1.4 k g you dont get from selling the same item how can you not understand economics ?

I was serious. I play the ah, buy markets low and resell high.

It’s horrifying for me to have bots constantly posting materials on the ah at lower prices at a higher rate than I can afford to buy and resell at a higher price.

It literally gets in the way of me being able to make a profit and makes those goods available to regular players at decent prices.

Then you aren’t hardware multiboxing and “software” isn’t actionable, input broadcasting software is actionable

multi-button mouse with like 16 hotkeys should be banned for sure.

2 buttons and wheel is all you need. anything else is unfair advantage pay to win slap in face to casuals not fun.

Well a kernel level plugin MAY help with unique identification except there is no way in hell Apple or MS would allow such a thing.

So… you want Blizzard (the govt) to shut down your competition because they are selling the same product as you for less?

And you are factually incorrect… you can keep arguing your incorrect understanding all day everyday if you want, you will still be wrong.

lvl 10 warlock with 0 post seems like a botter came to the discussion .

Why are you complicit with botting?

Who said I was?
The OP doesn’t care about botting… he cares that botters are interfering with his profits. He’s even said it. It’s the dealer calling the cops on the rival dealer scenario.

idk if its still a thing but back then you could ban someone from their mac address and that was more efficient than by IP.

thats something ive heard at some point in time at least.

You can also VERY easily get around that, in seconds, with NO extra software whatsoever. It’s so trivial I could do it with my eyes closed. So implementing something like that is a waste of time.

Also, the MAC address is only seen by your computer, and your router, nothing else. It can’t be seen by anything else.

Not even by third party software installed alongside your game?

I mean yeah, software on your computer can see it. But it can also be changed, to whatever you want, in seconds, with no extra software required.

I’m not disagreeing with that, just saying if Blizz wanted to they could tell Warden to grab that information, if they don’t already.

Blizz got some heat because of Warden back in the day (2005) lol

No, they are not since they have to ask for permission to see your mac address every time they want to see it. Every time since they can’t get blanket permission to access that type of data!

Nope, they couldn’t! See above!

So basically have one of those popups that people click accept to without reading each time BNet launches?

Everyone on the forum is a PC expert. Blizz should not do X or Y because it IS that SIMPLE to bypass it.
Might as well tell Blizz to put AVAST or something to counter the bots while you are at it.
Feels like everyone sort of accepts the bots and if Blizz is or isn’t doing something against it, all good.
