A fad.
As someone put it earlier, there is only so many times you can go back and do the same quests, kill the same stuff, over and over again. Folks do it to hit 60, but at this point, face it most know how to lvl a toon to 60. It isnât rocket science. There are some who will like the challenge, but once completed, what is the point?
Worth noting that Classic Era is booming right now.

I believe people donât understand that both Era and HC numbers had a decline since the official HC announcement. Obviously. People waiting for the official HC server, since it is a new server, may not feel very inclined to play in the âold serversâ.

It will boom to start and taper off as most things do. Even if your arnt that interested in HC, it will be a great fresh experience! Youll have to be a bit careful though!

Funny thing is that you can actually see that the drop in numbers people feel on the RP realms, is actually the HC players waiting for the HC realms. Look to IF pro, the numbers keep steady for the RP realms or even rising a bit.

It should be easier to find a dungeon on the OHC server than on a comparable ERA server. While yes raiding wil likely be more limited compared to regular servers, there will be far more people doing the leveling grind to do low end dungeons, and for most people the end game will be things like their 0.5 sets. This should make it far easier to group and do instances.

Have you actually played HC? I did and there were tons of people doing dungeons at 60, and none of us were using petri flasks. So no finding dungeons isnât going shouldnât be a problem at all.

No, I never appealed, and never would as that wasnât HC, I know a lot of other people running dungeons felt this way and I saw a number of people delete well geared characters when they died.
The thing is though, if youâre afraid of losing your character, or if you hate leveling and just want to do end game raiding, HC probably isnât right for you, and you shouldnât jump on just because its a âFreshâ server, it wonât be a traditional server with a traditional end game, there wonât be progression through content, and people will constantly be dying and starting over.
And we both know that there are a LOT of Hardcorpse players who donât feel that way, who appeal their deaths, and who game the addon.
Which is why so many people are happy for the official server which eliminates the ability to appeal.

And why so many of the ârealâ hardcorpse veterans are staying on BSB.
I donât think those of us going to the HC server will miss them.
