Happy to sign the new social contract, but here's the thing

drama for who?
its not about questions
its about the intentionally vague
and many times heavy handed enforcement

no trying to process what he sent me and how that even warrented a 7 dayer. but not going to go into it.

Everything is “harassment” with you all.

shrugs at this point I just accept that it’s axiomatic, and given my own experience I know this is going to bite some people who think it’s a good thing really hard.

I would have thought it was a good thing too before my own situation.

Ah. Likely based on history for the account. Standard starts at 24 hours for minor stuff. Repeat infractions, even minor stuff, tend to stack and get a longer vacation.

Let me know how to do this because I need to do the same. I don’t want to lose my account for telling people to stop fighting on roads.

Which group are you trying to put me in?

Community Council? MVPs?

Certainly not Blizzard seeing as I don’t work there.

If you are trying to make some sort of social commentary, it is best to avoid when you don’t know someone.

It’s just all about who you know in this world honestly. Also very elucidating why some very obvious trolls on this forum not only never get actioned, but often get flag protection.

It’s quite clear that the Community Council and the team responsible for the Social Contract is cut from a particular type of cloth.

Trust me, we know.

but if you post true facts
that the troll does not agree with
they abuse the tool over feelings

We’re not all like that. And it’s important to show tolerance!

Oh good. I’ll look it up once my ban is over.

Social contract post #48943399

The bigger problem is that the game is not rewarding enough so people can relax more.

  • Almost every cosmetic reward is either on a timer, too hard to get (no guaranteed drop like in FF14) or inaccessible
  • The whole gameplay focus is on performance, there is no permanent Gold Saucer, nor does WoW encourages trying other races out
  • The Achievement System is outdated. It does not offer regular rewards (every 100 points = new transmog/mount/whatever) and it also does not encourages to try new features out

I definitely agree with you there as well

Making things limited time is the absolute stupidest thing blizzard has done.

BfA was surely a total miss when it comes to vanity items:

  • Faction pride items either locked behind rated PVP, FOMO or too hard to get
  • Simple recolor mounts costing up to 60k gold (Alliance)
  • Interesting mounts “gold sinks”, costing up to 333k.
  • FOMO mobile AH vendor for 5m, although this was one of the few mounts which would have been justified being put into the cash store.

Yeah i went through all of bfa from start to finish. The overly expensive crap was unessecary but as pure blizzard fashion they love screwing others over.

I understand why someone could get banned for blatantly harassing another player. But it’s complete bs when you’re getting banned for just saying a bad word out of context.

I don’t even know what I can and can’t say anymore. We’re gamers. It’s the way many of us speak or type, and many of us can’t help it. This situation is super frustrating.

These people aren’t offended; they’re abusing a tool made by people who didn’t think things through.

With this one specifically I don’t think it was Blizzard’s initial intention to actually remove it from the vendor, but with how much it was being abused by bots they kinda had their hand forced
